So my surgery is November 21st and my fiance and I were sorting through our closet last night and she was telling me to get rid of all the summer clothes, I seriously started to freak out because I guess I am afraid that I will still need them. Kohls had a sale last weekend and I found 2 size 14 jeans that were only 3 bucks, my fiance told me to get them. I am in a size 18 now, but even then I was scared to get them because I am scared that I will still need my 18's. Needless to say she convinced me to get them and I am happy. But how do you all deal with clothes, do you wait until you're out of that size for good before you throw away, have you bought clothes that you will fit in the future, or do you still feel like you will need your same size? It's finally hitting me that tomorrow I will start my 2 week pre-op diet. Luckily for me I only have to do 1200 calorie diet for 12 days and Clear liquids for 2. I am beyond ready for this journey. Only 15 more days!! Sent from my 0PM92 using the BariatricPal App

I was approved because I did all of the requirements that the insurance wanted. I know its really hard to get approved and that's why I covered my butt a lot with going to extra dietitian appointments and doing whatever I can to assure that I would get approved. I did have to go through a lot of hurdles though. I was approved 3 days after it was sent to insurance with a surgery date of Nov. 21st.

I called my insurance today because I could not wait any longer and I was APPROVED!!! Now I have to wait for the letter unless the office calls and requests it to be faxed. I am going to call them once I go on lunch so that I can get this started (: YAYYYYYY!!!! And for anyone wanting to know. I have Blue Shield of CA and was told that they have 5 days to process the authorization and the office sent it on Friday, insurance didn't get it until Monday and this morning it was approved.

I live in Iowa unfortunately lol but the process was long, I went through hoops and jumps but I feel like if everyone was on the same page then it wouldn't have been like that. The insurance as been wonderful and always answered my questions and now to be approved and they sent my doctors office the approval fax on Wednesday so I was actually approved on Wednesday. I know I should probably search for this but for my clinic they schedule your surgery 2-3 weeks out after meeting with Surgeon for final visit. What was your time frame and has anyone ever wanted to hold off a little longer than what they suggested? Sorry for the silly question.
