I am so glad your doing well! If pain was the complication then my prayers were answered now the journey begins! Next month I will be joining you. So we can grip laugh cry but more important lose weigh and get healthy together!

loopylulu is right I had bilateral degenerate bone disease in both my knees last year and had both replace the end of November will be a year. I did FMLA and short term disability for both. Next month I am doing the bypass FMLA knows about it and it is approved. My job knows I about me going out to have surgery, but I did not tell my job what I am having surgery for that is not their business. On my job FMLA also files for my short term. That's why I am doing the bypass because I want to give my knees the best possible chance I can give them I need for them to last a long time hopefully past the 15 to 20 year life span for replacements. You took the words right out of my mouth no more needs to be said, it don't hurt to go to the support group and get well informed arm yourself with information!

You know it is not just this forum it is life itself people are like this everywhere not just weigh lost healthcare anything people don't want to take responsibility for there own life and heath it is much easier to ask somebody else it is not because people don't wont to help it because you don't read research talk to your Dr. your care team you can come to this forum and ask all the question you want these people can only tell you what they experienced.!! they cant tell you about you that is what your Dr. and care team is for these people are not you healthcare team hell they may not be healthcare professionals so you can only take it with a grain of salt. this is a forum for people to talk vent bounce off ideals to each other to get support when you are feeling down or alone people that know what you are going through. and it you do get someone that you feel is a little rough for your taste don't talk to the or respond move on to another thread don't let people take away your support there are good people here and bad not just here all over the world deal with it or not but you cant hide and don't let them make you hide!!! this is a good forum and you have the right to use it too! if you don't come back it is your lost you need to get a thick skin!! That all!!

It is like telling a Alcoholic not to go to AA or a drug addict not to go to drug rehab it is a illness so is obesity. They could not stop on there own they needed some help this is no different. Maybe if they tried and go with you to a support meeting to see what it is really all about to get a full understanding they would not be so quick to judge. People need to walk a mile in other peoples situation before passing judgement. And Beside love ones are suppose to be the least judgemental of all they love you and should stand by you and be understanding! When I told my family they were like when where which surgery are you doing they were on it and I am getting a revision from lapband to bypass so this is my 2nd and last surgery!

Well Crissyboo it is like this you can not live 2 lives you can only live one and you have to choose which life you want to live his or yours!

Preach on sisters,if it was easy there wouldn't be obesity but the wonderful thing about this is that the struggle is not all yours we are all in the same boat together and the forum is to be used to lift each other up when we are feeling low use every resource at your finger tips your care team this forum whatever it takes to get you through these hurdles always know we are here for each other to talk each other down off that ledge. We did not get this far to turn back now or to fail.

I did a post asking that question about the Patches got some good responds on it. Going to ask my NUT can I use them.

Has anyone tried the vitamin patches or using the patches if so how are they working for you are they any good, is it worth getting?
