    Ugh! I'm starving

I so remember that clear liquid stage. I thought I just had bypass why is my tummy hungry. Then full liquids came and I never thought Soups would be so good. Then on to purees and it was all smooth sailing from there. So, you are not alone. It's gets easier. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T377A using the BariatricPal App

    Just starting

I was very nervous too. More than any other surgeries...and I had plenty. Lol You'll be fine. Make sure you have a lot of support around you. The nurses were great at my hospital. One nurse actually had bypass surgery and talked with me for a while. She answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. Good luck. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App

    Good calories?

How far out are you? I've lost weight consistently, except for the 3rd-4th week stall, and at 7 weeks out I'm only at 500-600 calories a day. I found as long as i met my Protein and Water I lost weight. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App

  9. During my pre-op diet it was hard to cook dinner for the kids. My husband cooked for them and he would light a scented candle to offset the yummy smell of the dinner he was cooking. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App

    This fast sucks

Hang in there. I just kept telling myself 'if I can't do this I shouldn't have to surgery...the change begins now!' Just keep fighting the food thoughts. Surgery will be here before you know it. I was able to have 2 cups of vegetables a day. I made cabbage Soup that was amazing after a day of protein shakes. Can you have vegetables? Recipe- half head cabbage, fat free beef broth, can petite diced tomatoes, diced celery and onions. Bring to boil...simmer for an hour. Good luck! 11. I had the same problem with fluids. Bariatric Advantage protein powder has 13.5g protein per 1/2 cup. chocolate taste like chocolate milk. I agree with the not drinking 30 min before and after. It leaves the protein with you longer and helps you feel full. I however was told by my nutritionist that when you have your protein shake you don't have to do the 30 before and after even though it is a meal. I've been noticing many people have different ways of doing things but this has worked for me. Have you asked your nutritionist this? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T377A using the BariatricPal App
  12. My nutritionist helped me set my fitness pal app at my 4 week stall. She told me at 4 weeks 500 calories (which I ate less and couldn't hit 500 til 7 weeks). 51g Protein (40%) and I usually go over, 31g carbs (25%), 19g fat (35%) and i've never come close to that fat total. She told me this would increase over each stage but to stop when I'm full. I've been happy, losing consistently, and never feel hungry. So this has worked for me. Everyone is different. So, making an appointment with a nutritionist might help you. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T377A using the BariatricPal App
  13. Yes. They are horrible. Have to wash down with Water. Glad it's not just me. Lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T377A using the BariatricPal App
  14. I don't think you add Protein until full liquid stage. At least that's how my plan was. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T377A using the BariatricPal App

I'm not hungry at all! I couldn't eat more if I wanted to. She did say to increase with each phase or if I'm not feeling full. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App

What kinda stall did you hit? I made an appointment with my nutritionist around 4 weeks because I hit a plateau. She said I was doing fine. It's normal to hit a stall around this time because your body starts storing again. Sure enough, soon after, I started losing again. She helped me set my fitness pal app to 500 calorie, 51 Protein grams, 31g carbs, 19g fat. I never come close to the fat grams. And I'm now 7 weeks out and just starting to hit close to the 500 calories. You should also be exercising at least 5 days a week for 30 min a day. Weighing myself keeps me motivated to push further. Every 1/4lb helps. Lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
