    Seriously?

    Haha!!!
  2. I thought so at certain points, but today is my 2 month surgiversary and I just hit 50 pounds lost. So definitely not!

    Birth Control post-OP

Yes - I have endometriosis, so had extra issues. But that being said, I've seen tons of posts where periods went whack from the hormones melting out with the fat. I have had spotting since surgery 2 months ago and am on continuous bcp. It obviously is different from person to person, but it us common.
  4. This is much more polite, but not good advice. I'm firmly on the 'food is fuel, not treats' side of this WLS thing and you'll see me object nearly every time I come across a post, especially from someone new to this, talking about 'treating yourself' and advising people to 'try it and see if you can handle it' with known trigger foods like chips, sodas, candy, ice cream, etc. You don't stop eating your 'bad' foods until you're healed then start introducing them again...get over that mindset. To the OP, guacamole can be a good choice at 3 weeks if it's fairly smooth...I wouldn't eat big chunks of onion or jalapeno. I eat avocados with a spoon, right out of the skin, with a bit of balsamic vinegar. Very high-quality fat and a surprisingly high amount of fiber, too! Enjoy! Avocado and fiber, yeppers! I've never been able to eat avocados because of this problem. It is a crazy natural laxative for me. 30-60 minutes after eating and I'm glued to a toilet seat.Could've used this post last week!!!

    What was your "last" meal?

I went to chick fil a. #1 on wheat with extra pickle. Mmm. To die for. I so wish I could eat them now.

    Feeling dizzy

I am 2 months out and when I'm at work and forget to eat it's like as soon as 2 bites kick in, I see the haze lift. The scary part is I often don't realize the haze was there in the first place. Sent from my SM-T550 using the BariatricPal App
  7. FWIW, avocado was too rich for me early out. It's one of 2 things that have made me sick. I had avocado mashed with salt and lemon and it didn't go well. Sent from my SM-T550 using the BariatricPal App Hmm. Intriguing idea. I've been hunting around for things to eat hummus with. Sent from my SM-T550 using the BariatricPal App

    Soup/liquids question

I wouldn't be concerned about getting down a large quantity of liquid (soup included). Once you start getting to chewable food in purees and forward you'll feel it!

I need a MUCH better fig leaf!

    You said 'banana support'! Hahahaha...
  10. Full liquids - cream soups, protein shakes, etc. I couldn't have anything with chunks in it.
  11. I used to be a religious coffee drinker - tried twice since surgery and it's horrible (which is a shame... I could use the caffeine). 2 months out but it's just gross.
  12. As the others have said, great job!! You should be proud of yourself. The only fast food I've done is Wendy's chili one time. I just remember the grease, and think God that probably would taste disgusting now! I used 2 do 2 double cheeseburgers plain. Can't imagine that now!

    Hate to ask but!

The whole system goes crazy! I go much less often. You aren't alone [emoji4]

I need a MUCH better fig leaf!

Another lady vote for the boxer briefs! My hubby has some that are sport stretch (or something like that) which give a bit more, uh, banana support.

    Scared

You can always tell them how anxious you are and see if they'll give you a dose of xanax or valium. They usually do once your IV is in, but they may also call one in for you. Just make sure you don't drive. And like stated above, you'll be out and the next thing you'll remember is being in your room.
  16. Vets - do you ever get to a point where you can drink an entire glass of Water again? The eating plan I've adjusted to, but I'm so frustrated with this inability to drink when I'm thirsty (which is always). Do you get the ability to chug a cup of water back? Would love to hear some experiences. Thanks!!

    Drinking normally?

I'm 2 months now - still wanting to drink more but glad to see all the good posts Thank you all!!

    Thanksgiving

Turkey and wls friendly sides - green bean casserole, sweet potatoe (without the marshmallows or carmalized glaze), pearl onions, homemade cranberry all come to mind. Skip the rolls and stuffing. I plan to have a slice of turkey 1 bite of everything else. Save the rolls.

    Breakfast options?

Oatmeal with extra protein mixed in
  20. I told my male surgeon I couldn't come off continuous bcp and he said I had to or would risk blood clots. His female NP (who has had surgery) said I'd be fine. I went with her opinion, as I am in severe endometriosis pain when I stop bcp. Maybe weigh your options with your PCP?

    Boobs and bras. :-)

Once I hit goal I plan on investing in lingerie again. My husband hasn't seen that since we were engaged. Haha.

    Freezing

Haha mine do that too!! I just snuggle down in there with 'em. [emoji106]
  23. I don't force myself to eat, even if I haven't gotten enough Protein. I eat high protein all the time and get at least 60g. It should be more like 80g but I won't eat to the point of discomfort - it's a horrible feeling. I also have high protein Snacks and will snack often (at least twice a day) Just be careful with it, because you can eat around your sleeve that way. It works for me, but doesn't for a lot of others.
