Same! -
So, Vitamins. My surgeon's team recommends Celebrate or Optisource. Also Opurity. What does everyone enjoy? There are too many choices - all combined, separate Calcium and b12. All kinds of info. What has worked for y'all?

Plantar fasciitis is the WORST. I have it badly in my right heel and moderate on the left. It sucks sooooo badly. I'm hoping the weight loss helps.

I did it Monday. ???? I made ricotta bake, and didn't eat too much just ate too fast as it was finally something really tasty. Didn't realize I was doing it until the fullness slammed me in the face and well - the night didn't end well. I'm scared of the leftovers in my fridge!

This is a joke, right? If not... please see a therapist. I'm not saying you're CRAZY , I see one weekly myself. But there is NO way you'll make it through the pre-op and definitely NO way you'll make it post op. Overweight and obese people have enough extra weight that we can lost 30 pounds and be "okay" - you have no extra weight to lose. There is no way this is safe physically or mentally. Having untreated bigger eating disorder sets you up for a leak. -

Puree, blender and baby food

I bought a blender for protein shakes and smoothies. I found my immersion blender/food processor more helpful for purees. I've used all my kitchen gadgets in the past month. -

Yep. I just shave it and will tweeze the big guys as well. It's genetic in my family my mom, sister, and Aunt all have it. We're all different sizes. -
Lactose problems popped up

I have lactaid milk, but have gotten sick off pudding, scrambled egg, and ricotta bake. So I think me and egg are not friends. -

Try every option. You'll find one in there. Took me a few tries and ended up being g2. -
How much weight is too much? Do I have a problem? Is this normal?

Rosey Posey, I know you looked great at 14 and 150 if you were 5'10" then. 181 would be perfect goal weight now and put you at 24.9 BMI - one point under being overweight.I'm also 5'10 and going for 180. 150 hasn't happened sine I was 14 and had no childhood weight issues. I'd be skin and bones. -

Yeah, with the calcium separate from the other stuff by 2 hours I'd have to set my phone to remind me. -
When can we have lettuce and tomato again
rolosmom7 replied to Patchakc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
6 to 8 weeks. -
What did your first week on purees look like?
rolosmom7 replied to gemigirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Both the scrambled egg and ricotta bake (which includes egg) made me sick. I am 19 days out and had 2 shakes, refried beans with cheese/sour cream, and a string cheese. It's only about 600 calories. My target range is 800-1000 but idk how I'd get anymore in. -
Hi ladies (and men, if so inclined) Just wanted to share something that's really helped me. I've felt pretty sick, tough recovery so far. Each night, I've been digging out something to pamper myself. You know, that stuff we buy, use once and then put on a shelf never to be seen again? Well, I busted it out. I've been doing face masks, sugar scrubs, lip scrubs, etc. It really has helped mentally. Bonus, all that stuff doesn't go to waste! Just wanted to share - I may feel like s**t but my skin looks good! Also, I tried to put this in the "powder room" forum and it wouldn't let me?

Thanks!

How long did your Dr put you out for?
rolosmom7 replied to Mimi52's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Minimum 2 weeks. Maximum 6 weeks. I had 7 business days off, then 4 half days. I should have taken more, work is kicking my @$$ and I have a desk job. The only good thing is it forces me awake and drinking at 7am. -
I never measured soup that early on, but 1 can of condensed lasted me 3-4 "meals" ... I'd caution eating the whole thing at once.

Yum! I am Italian and loveeee pizza. I made ricotta bake for the first time tonight, slow going in but so good! Can you share the cheese pizza crust recipe? I don't want to forget about it next month [emoji4]

Thanks. I'm skipping them scrambled. May try them in the ricotta bake. So odd as my surgeon's diet is strick. Clear liquids 10 days and then full liquids days 11-14. The eggs were part of soft food. I have fish and such approved too - the rule is anything that can be mashed with a fork. But eggs did not not not go well. I think it set me back a few days actually. How did everyone do moving to fish? Anyone find it odd that flaky fish and things much softer like mashed potatoes are in the same stage?
