Lemonade, no sweetner with 1 scoop of matcha (each scoop has 25 calories) and light ice. Matcha is a very acquired taste but I am addicted to it. Green tea is full of b12 which I was very low on even before surgery and will give you a bit of an energy boost without the caffeine. (Note, green tea is slightly caffeinated, about 5-10% of a coffee). Didn't do well my first 10 days or so, but now I get it when we're running errands the past 2 weekends. I can finish a tall and it helps me get Fluid in too.

Nexium may just not be strong enough. You may just need rx omeprazole or pantaprazole

Any other 9/13/16 sleevers out there?
rolosmom7 replied to AMS115's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hmmm I think it depends on the food, and maybe my mood, somedays I can enjoy the flavor, other days, it's just blah... I don't think it makes sense, but that's just me. Like today I had the center of a sunny side up egg (trying to get my Protein in) and it taste so goood. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App I had blended up pot roast and it was the first thing that has actually tasted good so I felt better -

I have that cookbook coming. Does food taste good to you all? I eat but nothing ever tastes good. My eggs are barely ok. Same for the ricotta bake. I don't mind the portion size or the health aspect, but I would like food to taste good. -
What are you eating?
rolosmom7 replied to ashleyrowles's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have Shellys pot roast in my crockpot now to try for dinner. I'm 23 days out. -

And yes, I feel like I can't notice at all. Maybe because I'm super tall? I'm still in the same clothes and all. -

For those who had gall bladder out prior to surgery, how different is the sleeve in comparison?
rolosmom7 replied to simpsongrad's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Gallbladder incision pain and recovery was worse. I think it was where the incisions were located in my abdominal wall. But the eating adjustments here take more of a toll in my experience. 6-8 weeks of a slower recovery. 5-7 days of a more painful recovery for gallbladder. -
Has any ate any solid food during there 2 wk post opt diet?
rolosmom7 replied to sandy_p's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No, I didn't. Anecdotally, at my first post-op nutrition class there were about 8 of us in the class. Everyone who ate off plan and didn't follow their program were miserable and experiencing problems. Everyone who followed their program were doing great. It made an impression on me. I'm so frustrated because I really have followed plan. Starting week 4 and still having a hard time. Very frustrating indeed. -
What do you wish someone had told you BEFORE your surgery?
rolosmom7 replied to switch2lose's topic in Duodenal Switch Surgery Forum
This might be the thing that makes me the most nervous. I have a hard time with my endometriosis 'episodes' as it is, I can't imagine them getting much worse. For me it was worse than the surgical pain -
BMI of 21 getting gastric sleeve... thoughts?
rolosmom7 replied to iloveorganicmilk's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
no. you can't have any of my money. stop being lazy and go out and make some for yourself Ha! Didn't you just say mommy (and daddy via insurance) funded you? I wanted to feel for you until this post. Organic milk..... not only did you get an entire new screen name after you were banned, you're doing this on multiple sites. Seems you have a lot of free time on your hands..... rather hypocritical and judgemental to tell someone something so rude. This is a place for people to help each other, not listen to childrens desperate pleas for attention. Stop distracting from those of us with actual concerns and those giving actual support. -
This is probably a dumb question - but I eat so slowly now, my food gets cold. The obvious answer is putting it in the microwave but - 2x a meal is annoying. Any clever solutions?

Thanks everyone
