Interesting. It seemed to be the lettuce itself. Cucumber and tomato seemed fine. I was specifically told to introduce crunchy veggies at this time.

I should have taken my full 6 week short term disability. I'd still be home! I really really regret not taking it, mine was also with 100% pay. I'm in school for my MBA as well. I bit off WAYYYYY too much. To anyone reading - I was dumb - don't try to over achieve at this stage. You'll just end up exhausted. Wow. That is a lot. I can't imagine having done this when I was in the middle of my PhD program. Trying to do all of the reading and also remembering to drink constantly all at the same time would have been damn near impossible!LOL. it's so true. There are random Vitamin Water bottles everywhere! I'm a buyer for my day job too, so - I'm just chilling. Haha. Better than being bored!

No, unrelated - could be related to sudden hormone release, but it was for endometrial hyperplasia.

Haha I'm living in these for a while. I have a few 18s from when I was smaller last year, but. Who knows.

Pills are they hard to swallow

Applesauce. Applesauce. Applesauce. I had to get it approved early - but my NUT had no issue and it's a life saver. Unsweetened, 50 calories is good for my morning and evening meds (like 15 total). -
Not really - I'm judging off of Old Navy denim sizes (same cut) because women's clothes are so off in sizing. Comparing like to like, I'm in the same size 20 jeans - I could wear them comfortably out of the dryer before, and while they're a bit looser I can't get on an old navy 18.

I'm 5 weeks out and honestly I still don't feel ready to be back. Granted, I had a second smaller surgery last week but tons of fatigue and dizziness/nausea.
-
I've also been told that (think it's how tall I am maybe). Still so odd to be the same size with 43 pounds gone. I didn't set goals so doesn't upset me. Perplexes me more than anything.

I'm 5 weeks and change out. Just tried a basic salad with chicken, alternating bites of chicken and lettuce. I AM SO FULL. Only 6 bites and I am so so uncomfortable.
-
Omg I just ate salad - and it feels HORRIBLE. I only took maybe 6 bites, alternating chicken and lettuce. WTF. It's not like veggies can expand?!

A Little Bit of a Difference

Awesome! The Ren Fest is here next week in NC. Looking forward to getting my corset on and seeing the difference -
2 surgeries in less than 2 weeks!

So sorry. I had an unexpected surgery come up last week, and it sucks. I feel like I'm starting all over again. Big Hugs, and glad you're ok![emoji173] -
I started at a 20, have lost 43 pounds, and am still a 20. So I think it's really individual.
-
first off, congratulations on that 43 pounds of stress that is gone!!! I was thinking of seeing a therapist here at school- I know talking to people can help, and if it's working for you I'll give it a shot. -Ariannuhh❤️ I've been going to a therapist for 3 years. For all kinds of stuff - it is SO helpful. I definitely recommend it.
-
You aren't alone. I have gone up and down the roller coaster. Right now I'm in a down. Almost 6 weeks out and 43 pounds lost. I work with a therapist weekly. It helps.

Do they sell isopure singles at GNC? They seem really expensive.

Heightened smells and gag reflex

I am the exact same way. Never been pregnant but God will things make my stomach churn. It sucks to say the least. -
I can eat "anything" now. It's a huge struggle to get calories, fluid, and protein right now. I'm almost 6 weeks out. Waiting for that easier part to kick in.
-
so Vitamin water zero is acceptable too?? I don't like plain water and it makes me nervous all we have to drink. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I don't know why it wouldn't be? Any 0 calorie liquid should be fine.
-
Ohhh crustless quiche. Yum. I know you can make them in a muffin tin - breakfast for a few days! (My husband would probably eat 2) but I see endless possibilities! I had corn beef hash last weekend, only 2 bites but it was pretty good. Sent from my SM-T550 using the BariatricPal App

My biggest piece of advice - but one of everything. Even if you loved it preop. And then, 2 weeks later your tastes will change. So hold off in giant jars, etc.I've read that..ty for the reminder too....I'm glad I didn't but a few boxes of preimere protein bc tge sucralose is already making me sick and I'm still pre op until tomorrow!!! I've been holding my mom off on buying things! LolOh I have to do that too. She texts me every time she sees protein mix on sale. Haha.
-
No idea. I try to choke down a shake, then skip to my mid morning string cheese. I have half a cup of unsweetened applesauce each morning to take meds. I'm looking forward to high Fiber Cereal. Never craved raisin bran like this!!!

Is that something you can get at the grocery? Haven't seen them yet, would be interested to try them. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App Yes, at the grocery. I'm still trying to find protein I can tolerate. Greek yogurt is definitely a good source. I also use chicken Soup unjury. Everything else tastes like a sickly sweet vomit. Makes me nauseous as soon as it hits my stomach. I have nectar coming. Fingers crossed.
