    Boobs and bras. :-)

Are you post op? Where do you find a bralette that fits large boobies? I love the look of them but will they really support my DDs?

    Cream of Wheat

I had grits which were on my plan week 4 with some fish and they were horrible! Expanded in my stomach is my guess, but it felt absolutely awful. I have not done grits or cream of wheat since. I am able to eat oatmeal since week 4 and it's good, nice and warm and sits well.
  3. I'm only 8 weeks out Breakfast - p3 pack lunch - soup or fish wherever our team eats that day (often mexican tortilla, no tortilla strips) Afternoon - leftovers from lunch or Protein bar dinner - something tossed on the grill or done in the crock pot - fish, chicken, beef, and pork all work for me. Very rarely I have room for veggies or small salad which I eat after dinner with ov dressing. We just joined the y and I have 5 sessions with a personal trainer but haven't started them yet. I walk my dogs every evening before dinner for 20 minutes or so.

No wires, vanity fair at kohls has always treated me well.

    OJ

I would say definitely not. It's not clear, not low calorie, and super acidic. You'd probably have horrible heartburn and feel like death after. Not to mention the sugar. Sent from my SM-T550 using the BariatricPal App

    Anxiety and depression

I have anxiety and depression normally, and I went through the roof (more like into the basement) for 2-3 weeks after surgery. I was thirsty and tired, regretting what I had done. My husband couldn't do anything right, even when he was being perfect and I suddenly hated all my family. It does get better - I'm 8 weeks out now and I have my moments but nothing like before. I also work with a therapist weekly, which is something I recommend to everyone. Good luck!

    Still can't wear jeans.

I'm never comfortable in jeans. I much prefer yoga pants! But, 2 weeks or so and I could wear them.
  8. So I had 3 bananas that were about to go bad so started looking ways up to use them - here's what I came up with. 3 bananas, mashed 1 cup Peanut Butter (i use natural, just peanuts and salt) 1 cup oats 2 scoops unflavored Protein Mix and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. It comes out to 80 calories and 6g of protein per cookie. I can only eat 1. Yum!

    9 weeks post-op and I dislike eating

I get to points where I don't even want to think about food anymore. Tracking and counting and measuring take their toll. It's 100% worth it and I'm not complaining, but it does make me think "screw dinner, I don't even want to deal with it" and then I'm not hungry or interested in food. I'm grateful when those nights are crock pot nights, and dinner is waiting when I get home. But you're definitely not alone!!!

    Freezing

Yes I'm colder much more often now! Blankets are stashed everywhere, and I keep this guy around to serve as a heat source!

    Gaining weight before surgery

It took me 15 months to go from initial visit to surgery. I gained maybe 5 pounds, but my BMI was right at 40 so had to be careful about not losing weight (sounds awful, huh?) - got denied the first time for not having over 3 years of morbidly obese history but my surgeon sent them an appeal letter and I was approved.

    Cold cough and Sleeve

I'm having a similar issue. 8 weeks out, have had a horrible cough since the weather went crazy about 3 weeks ago. I cough so hard I get the slimies often, and sometimes vomit. It SUCKS. Best of luck on your journey and hope your cough goes away soon!

    I need to burp but I can't

I second walking circles in your house. When I was first post op, it seemed like the only thing that would help liquids go down. We have an open bottom floor so I just walked in circles (this is usually my dogs race track) but it helped a lot!

    Boob loss

I guess this also depends on height - my size D boobs won't put strain on ny back at 5'10 - but I imagine they'd be awful at 5'4

Chinese soup! 15 days post op

I eat egg drop and wonton - both felt good to me starting around 3 weeks out. (I wasn't eating the wonton)
  16. I definitely wouldn't advise it - I just had my 1st drink 2 months out. 12 days is scary early. You could hurt your tummy. Plus, it probably won't taste or feel good.
  17. Like shelterdog said, I advise aganist stocking up on anything (ok maybe the wipes!) Your tastes will change and you'll tolerate a shake one day but not the next. Same with me for liquids. Powerade zero was a big no. G2 was good for a bit. Then Vitamin Water zero. Now crystal lite lemonade and chick fil a diet lemonade. Or flavored black tea when I can get it from the shop at work. So, in 2 months I went through all of those and I think that's pretty common. Good luck!

    Nutrition Book

I have WLS for dummies. But mostly I Google recipes. There are plenty from eggface, pinterest, etc. Most of mine are slow cooker meals since it's fall, and I'm a lazy cook [emoji4]

Wow, that's fantastic in 5.5 months!

    surgery question

I went back part time after 2 weeks. Full time after 3. It was wayyy too soon. I should've taken my full 6 weeks. I work a desk job.

    Boob loss

I'm hoping mine don't go. In college when I was thin, I was still a D. That being said, the first item I had to replace was bras! Go figure! I was in a 42DD. Hoping to get back to my old normal of 36D.
  22. I'm getting a mostly online MBA and had no trouble. Do some work before surgery to be ahead. Day 3 or 4 I needed something to do, and school work was easy to do in bed. I wouldn't be too concerned.
  23. I went to the Renaissance festival in NC last weekend - they have bread bowls with chili, broccoli cheese, spinach dip, and some others. I ate broccoli cheese without the bread bowl and was just fine. They had water and tea not just soda so I could drink too.
  24. I have endometriosis - take continuous bcp. Surgeon (male) asked me to stop, his PA (female, sleeve patient) said I'd be fine. Without cbcp - I'd be in the hospital in pain. So I took my bcp until surgery day. I knew the risk and weighed it and that was my decision (with my PAs blessing).
