Hi, I thought i didn't have any co morbs either except for bad knees, then i got my blood work and everythign was off the charts, high choloesterol, high triglycerides etc. My doc used those wrote everything down and i was approved no problem

hi, Its been a few weeks since ive been on the site, i guess after 3 mths im becoming adjusted and don't make being here a priority like i should. Also life of course has been pretty busy. I have 3.5 cc in my 14 cc band im looking forward to more because i have no restriction but will have to wait till dec. 1 Im basically using will power, and of course the fear of doing somethign to my band LOL. My experience so far honestly is pretty darn good, surgery went fine, healing went fine, can eat fine. Just a lil to much in my opinion. I need to re focus on the bandster rules and remember that this forum here is to support me and keep me on track. Since ive joined this forum i have never been dissapointed. Meeting all of you great people here and the support you give truly has been a blessing. hope all is well in your bandland. take care:thumbup:

hi, i live in schweinfurt germany. You can always find alternatives. They do some great marinated vegtables at most of the resturants. And the meat is usually very tender. Just stay strong and try to stay away from the awesome bread. take care

wohooo!!! finally went and had my 3 mth check up and they finally gave me a fill, easy peasy, the doc had just slight prob with port cause it moved but he got it the second time no problemo. He put in 3.5 milliters, which is 3.5 CC's (i checked the conversion LOL) I have a Large 14 band, its a big fill for my first time but i seem to be having no problemo's. The doc did comment though that he thought my bad was to big?? Well heck not like i got to pick it out LOL!! So happy to have a fill, can't wait till tomorrow to try it out and see how i really feel. Tonight is just liquids tomorrow i eat regualrly. :cry_smile:

i had my first fill yesterday had to wait 3 mths to get it. took 2 tries but it wasn't bad, they put 3.5 cc in but i have a 14 cc band. yesterday was just liquid today im back to eatin regular. So far so good, still seem to eat what i want but yup a whole lot less so here's hoping it will hold till i can get back for another fill. Maybe dec 1st?

im trying to talk my guy into toys, but he is definitely thinking he is doing something wrong. I don't usually climax on penetration alone either. But when were in the mood my hubby can usually go for about 10-15 min. we usually have sex 1x a week or sometiimes only 2-3x a month just depends on our schedules he's military and has long hours and is gone frequently. He is 38.

yup can tell a difference. Ate some eggs and bacon and english muffin no problem, just not as much as i was before the fill. Rock on to the band!!

Okay i sooo bad want a wii fit. They are about 90 bucks for the game and board thing. Here is my problem... I am military and stationed in Germany, everywhere i look they are sold out online. I to for the first couple weeks had trouble making the calorie count, but you will be able to get more in later, you will not always feel like you do know, unless that is you get a fill and stay tight.

I had mine done about 3 years ago. I kept them for a few months, then took them out. I liked them but decided i didn't want to keep hasselling with the healing process, plus i was prego and you know the whole sensitive boob thing from that. I find that one still sometimes drains white stuff, its interesting. But no big deal. I contemplate gettin them re-done, it wasn't that bad to have them done.

dont stress i plateued for like 2 weeks straight. But kept eating healthy, and low and behold the scale is going down again. hang in their you'll do great!

same boat here, i have lost enough that i could get rid of quite a few things but i think my brain is scared.

Still taking it one day at a time. Weight stalled for last 2 weeks but finally its moving on the downside again. haven't had a fill yet, have to wait until my 3 mth check up. It sucks but ill manage. I love feeling better, i have only lost 30 lbs but wow what a darn difference it makes. My clothes are baggy, im gonna try for 10 more lbs then by some new pants and shirts. Im happy that i had this surgery it was the best thing for me. All june bugs rock!!

Okay i have a large 14cc ap band and well, honestly i haven't had a fill yet but i dont' seem to have any problems eating anything. I can eat up to probably 2 cups but i try to refrain. definitely much less then before the band. I don't seem to have to chew my food well either. Im kind of worried. Ive heard so many horror stories about food stuck etc. even before people get a fill but again i have seriously no issues. I have eaten everything from steak, chicken, lamb and the most taboo thing re-heated food. So im wondering possibly if its because i have such a large band. Maybe thats why im having no issues? Also maybe after i get a fill i will start having issues? Anyways let me know how it is going with you all so i can maybe compare. Im really hoping i don't have like a slip or something and that is why their is no problems with food. I FINALLY get a fill Sept. 22. They wanted to wait till 3 mth check up becuase i am continually losing weight. But wow im gonna say these next few weeks are gonna be tough cause im hungry. Well honestly i have read on this site people putting ankle weights on under their pants for the weigh in. Depending on how you feel about that it could be an option.

If he is Active Duty, NO they will not do the lapband for him. But once he gets out, and if he retains tri care for awhile then yes, if he's quick he can get one before his insurance runs out. And hey, you are more then welcome here anytime, I started this thread, its for spouses sure, but also for anyone who has something to do with the military, be it children, parents, etc. We are all one big happy family and willing to support our brothers and sisters in BAND.
