Hi, i had my surgery on Friday and went back to work on Tues. Now as a cosmo student, im figuring you have to stand alot, but honestly if your pain tolerance is good, you should be okay. Just make sure to sit down and rest as often as possible. My tummy felt like someone kicked me a few times but all in all it wasn't to bad. The worse part for me was i had allergy to the anestesia(sp?) and had itchey's on my hands and feet for a week. That sucked!!

i did lapband, bypass was way to scary for me, and im very happy with my decision. Good Luck!!

i really liked the chocolate, the vanilla was okay, the unflavored geesh has flavore. LOL the flavor of protein.. I hate the protein taste, but thankfully i now just drink it one way. With peanut butter, milk, ice, bananna, the pb really hides the protein taste. i can't do them with fruit, i still can taste the protein. Shipping was quick id say 6 days and i have apo address and live in germany.

banded in frankfurt germany, they use allergan.

i have tricare overseas. It took 2 hrs for the referrel to be approved. And 1 week for the surgery to be approved.

ummm i can eat a whole can of soup at lunch and at dinner...the 10 oz one. i wonder if that is to much?

oh i was gonna add, you were banded on my sons birthday he just turned 3!!

hi im 10 days out, i have a 3 year old, i try very hard not to pick up. But yesterday i picked him up and was quite comfortable, no pulling or anything like that.

hey chicky no worries, their are plenty of people who had good experience with the lapband. i am 10 days out not doing to shabby myself. Don't know how much i lost, i refuse to weigh myself cause i don't want to do the up and down rollercoster of i lost and ohh im not losing LOL. You'll be just fine, stay strong!!

mphs mommy were stationed in schweinfurt germany, to all the rest of you thanks for the info, i just don't want to eat to much at one time and like blow out my pouch or something. definitely not getting much calories im not worried about that its portion that worries me, that has always been my down fall. im hoping once i get to solids i will eat less, just want to make sure im not drinking to much soup though at one time to cause problems. I am on 3 weeks of liquids.

Okay so i was banded 10 days ago, and am still on liquids. Well now im on Full liquids, im worried though because i can drink alot of liquid, i can usually eat a small can of cambells cream of chicken soup, well blended with milk. ummm i don't feel "full" well i mean after ive eaten it lol, i know ive had enough. im not sure if thats okay though. Thru the day i don't eat much usually a yogurt in the morning, can of soup for lunch, can of soup for dinner. But im worried i might eating to much and hurting my band, any thoughts are appreciated. ohh i feel great, no pain, stitiches get removed tomorrow, but still worried LOL..Thanks:thumbup:

It was around night 8 and 9 for me...good luck stay tough time will pass

hey just a quick check in, 10 days out after surgery, everything going great, get my stitches out tomorrow. I have no idea how much ive lost because i won't look LOL but tomorrow i might ask them when i go for the stitch removal. Hey Tai where in Europe are you going??

the 4th was my 7th and last day of clear liquids, so just broth for me, but wohooo look out soups today.

in my book from the doctor it says that soda can contribute to the enlargement of the small pouch and therefore should be avoided

I live couple hours away from the hospital and we are stationed overseas in Germany. Soo for me, i went in on the 26th, did the pre-op tests, stayed the night had the surgery on the 27th stayed the night again. On sat. i was still haveing some pain so they said stay again so i went home on Sun. Love the hospital, great place very comfortable. Knowing what i know know, i could of come home on Saturday now, i just wanted to make sure everything was okay.
