Ladies : Did any of had your period during surgery?
breuxo replied to gabysmum's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
i got my period the day before i had surgery. make sure you bring pads. they do not allow you to wear tampons during surgery. and i know most hate pads but it niches easier in the hospital. it's not a big deal don't stress about that. a little period blood won't freak them out they are going to see your organs lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App i meant it's actually easier* what a strange auto correct lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
remember you just had a major surgery your body is thinking wth? and your taking in a lot less cals. i'm just over a week out i still get tired. i still have troubles getting Protein in. i can get my Water in now but not all that protein i know it's important but take it slow and push yourself to do a little better each day. i don't think there's anyone who comes straight out of surgery and can get water and protein in. ❤️best of luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

they gave me zolfran?(sp) in the hospital. but the only pill i've been taking at home is one for stomach acid that they gave me when i left the hospital. though whatever it was last night it was a tad better still woke up a few times with it. but maybe it's just a strange side effect i'm having lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

if you look up shellys ricotta bake that is good for puréed stage. pinterest for puréed wls recipes. idk what your program allows mine allows melba toast and tuna (canned chicken as well) soft poached eggs. you should look over what food they suggest. i think i'm my book i can also have white fish cooked and broken up. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Beans you can have they are mush. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App scrambled eggs and cottage cheese do not need to go in a blender. sorry read that after i answered lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
thank you, i will try that. it is strange during the day i am fine but at night it is very painful Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Eventually - you'll be able to eat similar foods (Protein & veggies) - but you won't eat as much and should skip the starch (Pasta, rice, bread, etc.). I've been thinking a lot about this. For the first 6 weeks while I'm on mush - it will be challenging but I'm hoping I'll be up to cooking for him at times (I enjoy cooking) even if I can't eat the food prepared. Once I'm cleared for regular food - I think it'll much easier. I'm not going to stop cooking or eating dinner with him just because we can't eat the same. I buy him sweets even though I can't eat them. He drinks soda - I don't. He'll have chips with a burger - I'll skip the chips (and post-op the bun). i'm one week out and i've been cooking for my toddler and husband every night, lol it's mostly been crockpot meals (thank god it's fall) but it's very easy for me this way.) i still watch them enjoy foods i can't eat like pizza and treats it doesn't bug me i don't even feel like eating Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

yes but i've never had an issue until i literally woke up from surgery, i don't know what to do or how to correct it. maybe it's the air change? it is quite dry here. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
