Had mines done 09/08 get GasX strips!!!! They are so helpful I got cleared for milk of mag because my intestines were not my friend and I needed to have a BM. Walking really does help the gas pains and the pain from trying to get the full liquids down. Happy for you!!!!!! Congratulations!!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I did it! Got sleeved yesterday 9/2!
Aviobell replied to #BirdDog's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My 2 big incisions always hurt (2 out of 10). I stopped my pain meds 2 days after. Had mines done 9/08, I will be screaming GasX strips all up and down these forums! Because it's important! And get some milk of mag, if you need it. I couldn't even think of adding anything to my stomach it was so uncomfortable until I had a BM. If once you start full liquids you have pain, start walking immediately, helped me A LOT! So happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Four Month Post Surgery Update

I've been 268lbs forever, at this point we don't even have a scale in the house because my weight NEVER moved! 7months at the weight loss clinic and I got sleeved last Thursday! Sunday I stopped the pain meds and started walking 5-7miles a day usually at Breakfast lunch and dinner, with myfitnesspal recording my steps. Now look, 60g of Protein is hard to fit in THIS stomach. Plus all this walking I just want water! Luckily I had no nausea, milk of mag is a Godsend (also GasX strips) and since walking is the easiest way to ease my stomach, no problem! Next week is my post op appointment! And Sunday I am planning for split peas! I feel so great! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Not my husband, but my mom said she would help me through this surgery 09/08. She literally tried to leave me at the hospital the first night, complained about not being discharged soon enough 09/09 and decided since I wouldn't get my prescription on the same day, to hell with my pain meds! Lol yesterday when I asked her to walk with me around the block I was "not giving her a break". I say all this to say, I've decided to stop taking the pain meds so I can do more for myself. I've decided this is what I want to do and this is what I'm gonna do. Verbal and non verbal cues are everything because you take a step back and realize, "me and this person don't have the same problems!" Next question to myself was how bad do you want it? Same with me, I knew I was gonna do it had to go through my insurance (7months) watching your weight, taking test, talking about your relationship with food. I had surgery 09/08/16. No regrets because I think about food CONSTANTLY and you should see my past credit card history! Everything for me was, where am I going to eat, what am I going to eat. No matter the circumstance I always ordered a large! The greed is out of control because I wouldn't want anyone to eat my left overs and as full as I was I'd still choke it down. I'm still getting used to it and learning what my new limits are. Waiting to drink once you've had something isn't all that bad, no where close on my list of complaints. Beans! So many assortments of Beans split pea is my favorite. You can have Greek yogurt, and cottage cheese too right? I talked to my dietician about all the beans I'd rather eat than meats. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Bloating After Eating
Aviobell replied to dreamnslim2012's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm still on full liquids so idk what my body is saying to me. I feel the bubbles, I get the bloat, and the burps... walk it off and sit with the mild discomfort. Now I'm reading this like, "oh no! I'm doing this ALL wrong". What's the full feeling? I'm 3 days post op. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
What am I about to do to myself?
Aviobell replied to TheRev's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Liver shrinking diet induces all kinds of emotions! Like day 2 I was watching food on the TV ready to relapse, thinking to myself "all this hard work, I don't need this surgery if I could just get a taste..." Convinced myself I could control my own portions dang nabbit! 3days post op and it's all good. Hang in there! And congratulations!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Just sleeved 09/09!
Aviobell replied to BriAStewart's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats!!!! Mines was 09/08! Felt bubbles every time I drink something. I've been doing the GasX strips and I got a "waist trainer" just to hold my stomach also helped with the gas pains. I sleep on my stomach but for the most part a lot of us do... as tolerated. I'm so happy for you! HW 274 SW 268 GW 150 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Abdomen full of CO2, gas or surgical site pain
Aviobell posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey guys I was discharged yesterday! Surgery was 9-8-16. I'm having a hard time distinguishing pain. Well what I'm almost certain is gas pains! I've done my 30cc of liquid as garlic Water, gas X stripes and benefiber. I feel the bubbling but it's not coming out. And let me tell you, the baby burps that I am experiencing, just can't be enough! Any tips? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
