  1. I'm ten months out. I've lost a total of 85 pounds. And I'm in the stage where I can tolerate more food and bad food. And I don't want to deprive myself so I binge and I don't mean eat til I'm sick but I eat way more than I should, instead of one cookie I eat 8. Instead of one small pick up I eat 3 mini size candy bars. This was an issue before surgery and it's returning partly due to stress on the job. I'm trying to find coping skills. Please tell me if you're experiencing this and how you're working through. I don't want to be a failure and I definitely don't want to regain. I don't need your judgement. I need encouragement, support, and advice. Sent from my SM-J700T1 using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. On Jun 30th I'll be six month post up rny. hw 305 sw 289 cw 222. Although I've come a long way from where I was I'm still not where I want to be obviously. I exercise I eat right I drink my water I get my protein in. But lately meaning the last two weeks I've been snacking like crazy. And not on the best foods. Its been a mix of fruit vegetables and cookies or ice cream. Why?!.... I don't know. I have been extremely busy and under some stress lately but head hunger is getting the best of me. I have exercised four times within the last two weeks which is horrible. Idk why I'm snacking like this and the bad part is I feel so guilty afterwards because I know I shouldnt be snacking so much but I am. I need words of encouragement. I know I'm not the only this has happened to before. Get me back on track because I still have a long ways to go and I'm determined to get there. I know why I had this surgery so I don't need to be reminded of that. I just need to know how to get back on track and regain that drive that I had when I first stated me journey. 3. Thank you so much. This is definitely refreshing to hear. Usually my drinks are mostly water a protein shake and hot tea with no sweetener. I do really good beverage wise. Its the snacks. I can't lie I have a cookie here ice cream there and usually no bread or rice because they fill up within two bites. But I also eat lots of fruits and veggies. So I do mix it up. But I've been mixing in a lot of processed snacks lately which I'm going to cut back. I've just found my new love recently which are salt and pepper pistachios.... So yummy. But thank you everyone for the chat. This was great Sent from my SM-J700T1 using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. Has anybody tried intermittent fasting since having gastric bypass or vsg. If so how is it. And are you getting in all your protein and vitamins for the day?... I want to try it but I'm nervous. I honestly don't think it will hurt me but I just want to know if anybody else has tried it. Sent from my SM-J700T1 using BariatricPal mobile app

  7. I had rny 12/30/16 my weight was 289. The first three months the weight was just falling off. I am now 4.5 months out and lost only seven pounds for the month of April and no pounds so far in may. Im down to 233 pounds. I get all my protein in for the day. I get all of fluid in. I exercise four times a week which I alternative between running, walking, and strangrhe training. I have lost several inches I went from a 22 to a 14 in pants and from a 3x to a large in shirts. So I'm definitely losing. I didn't have any complications after surgery no vomiting extra surgeries or any problems. But I am looking at other ppls progress and some are down ninety pounds. Am I doing something wrong?. I know we all lose at all different rates but I'm getting nervous. I do eat carbs from fruit and veggies maybe between 30-50 a day only because I do weight lifting and I mean light weights nothing extreme. Help me. I need advice and encouragement. December bypass buddies

I just did my three month post op appointment yesterday 3/30/17 and I'm down sixty pounds and doing awesome. Still only getting the minimum in as far as my fluids but my Dr said in time I'll be able to get down more so I guess I'm good for now
  9. Hello everyone, 3/30/17 will be my three month post op appointment and I am down 61 pounds. I can't tell you how surreal it all feels. I've went from a 3x to an xl in shirts and from a 22 to damn near a 16 in pants. Fabric makes the difference. But omg. I am so blessed I feel like I'm getting a second chance to finally feel good about myself. My confidence has gone way up. My energy levels have went up. I'm just so happy to see what's in store for the rest of my journey. So far I've been healthy recovering well with no hiccups and I hope and pray this continues. Eating good and staying away from sugary foods. And I still enjoy ice cream and sweets just low sugar sweets. Which is a plus for me and my sweet tooth. But overall this journey has been a lifesaver. Tomorrow I'll be cleared for weightlifting and I'm so happy to start toning up my body. Thanks to god for blessing me with my surgeon and family for all the support and love in the world. Hope everyone else's journey is going good. From 299 to 238[emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

  13. I'm starting at the gym and I wanted to use a good pre and post workout supplement, drink, or pill that won't give me the jitters just for an extra burst of energy... Any ideas?
  14. Okay that sounds good. But when should I incorporate bcaa's?
  15. So I'm wondering does anybody enjoy the sugar free sweets or does it cause dumping? I know everyone is different but I just want to know if this will be tolerable one day? Sent from my 6045O using the BariatricPal App

    Bowel movements

On my eighth day I had my first BM and let me tell you I wanted to cry. For those of you who haven't went lube up your butt and pray while you're on that toilet. I felt the sane like I didn't have to poop or anything. Passing gas fine no cramps until gravity called. It was hard as a rock an dry as can be. The old poop takes vengeance but it gets easier as it comes out. Sorry if its too graphic but its real. My butt still hurts Sent from my 6045O using the BariatricPal App
  24. Yes I did. It ended up being seven with waiting for approval due to my facility mishap but it was well worth the wait Sent from my 6045O using the BariatricPal App
