  1. You look fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I'm looking at going for my first plastic consult in a month I read that most don't do tummy tuck and inner thigh lift at the same time so your post has given me hope since your results are so good. Workouts after gs

Hi there its 4-6 weeks and about 6-8 weeks before the fatigue stops.
  3. I'm the same my surgeon was shocked at my 6 month follow up to find out I was still taking. Told him the reflux was still bad and he said to gradually wean myself off by stretching out the days I have it so start off every second day then stretch to 3 days etc. It was killing me the reflux was so bad. I tried looking up natural remedies and came across kefir. It is a probiotic. I got some kefir grains and starting making my own with milk. I find that the nights I have a protein shake made with maybe half a cup of kefir I have no reflux...chamomile tea before bed also helps. It is about 4 weeks since I stopped omeprazole between almonds, chamomile tea and kefir I feel like I have it under control. The first week or so is the hardest it gets worse before it gets better. All the best!

GALL BLADDER ATTACK 30 Days Post Op

Not early on..about 5 months post op I had my first gall bladder attack. I'm getting it out in 2 weeks can't wait.
  7. I started off not telling anyone but when I was about 20kgs down an overweight friend asked me what I was doing and I said low carb high protein and then she started to put herself down so I ended up telling her. I wish I had known about WLS years ago so I share hoping that it will benefit someone and also so overweight friends and co workers know it's an option.

    3 weeks post op

Try upping your carbs I was the same for about 6 weeks and when my exercise physiologist checked my food diary he said my calories and carbs were way to low. Its hard but you just have to eat every 2-3hrs..

    Lack of support...

Is your friend overweight? I find that the friends and family that are overweight are always negative but those that don't have weight issues are very supportive.
  10. Berry78 exactly thats why I get mad when people say it is. Yes the portion control is forced but thats all the surgery does you still have to choose to make better food choices and exercise.
  11. I have 3 daughters, 8 (twins) and 5 my husband who is about 50kgs heavier than me has sleep apnea and type 2 diabetes I wanted my kids to have at least one healthy parent especially since they stress alot over my husband nagging him about sleeping with his machine and taking his meds LOL. Its hard the fatigue after surgery makes it hard to work and then come home and do house work cooking but its all worth it and if your kids are at an age where they can help even better. My kids are a healthy weight at the moment but now is the time to show them good eating habits before they pick up on all the ones I used to have.
  12. When I hit goal and depending how I feel my big treat yo self will be a tummy tuck. Before I even gained weight I already had a pouch from a twin pregnancy so will be nice to have it all fixed up.
  13. @@aussiecosy all the best!!!
  14. My stomach has lost the most but my ass and thighs seem to be in it for the long haul lol
