I had thought about having WLS many times before but was still unsure. With me being a diabetic, it made it harder for me to lose the excess weight. It seemed like the harder I tired the more I seem to gain. When I worked out my body especially my feet would hurt. So after reaching my highest weight of 297, I decided it was time to do something. I started my quest February 2016 by calling Dr. Rosen’s office. Dr. Rosen was highly recommended by my primary physician. I was a bit scared in the beginning but after careful research and talking to staff at Life weigh Bariatrics I felt more at ease with each visit. The staff there was very caring and helpful in helping me get over my fears. I decided to go with gastric sleeve. My surgery on Dec 15, 2016, the day of surgery I weighed in at 279. So I was already down 18 pounds. Well today I am almost 8 months post-surgery and down 61 pounds total. Weighing in today at 236. I feel great, look terrific and can now workout without pain. My goal is to reach 200 pounds maybe max out at 180 which is where I was before giving birth to my children. I am so glad of the decision I made and wouldn’t change a thing.
