    October Surgery

Tomorrow I start full liquids. And it is quite weird not feeling hungry. I didn't get anything from Sunday night @ midnight until Tuesday morning 9am. My doc requires a leak test to be passed before he allows fluids. It was so gross. Worse than the barium! Looking forward to some sort of shake or whatever. I had not even 2 teaspoons fill of Jello and I couldn't try anything else. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App

    Anyone from KY?

Do you mean hiccups post-op? Eating slowly, taking small bites, chewing thoroughly, waiting between bites, will help avoid hiccups. No, lol. I just meant hope there are no issues before the surgery date lol. Hiccups is something we use here as kind of a slang word lol. Sorry. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using BariatricPal mobile app Ha! I totally thought you meant hiccups literally! As to what you meant, the WLS process gives us a great opportunity to practice polite persistence, patience, and perseverance. Lol sorry about that ????. I just hope my ins approves it this week. I'm worried they will deny me for having a 40.6 bmi now. I have lost about 15lbs since I started seeing my dieticians. I start my liver shrinking diet tomorrow. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App

    Nervous

Had all of my pre op testing today. They saw what could be a small hiatal hernia. My surgery is scheduled for Oct 24th. I'm worried my insurance won't approve it. I have wellcare of Ky. Not sure what comordities that I have will make a difference.. My bmi is 40.6. I have lost 15lbs or so. I should hear something in the next 2 weeks but I'm anxious and nervous. They have been a pain at approving my epidural injections for my back (stenosis ans scoliosis and chronic pain) . Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App

    Kentucky Medicaid

Today was my 7th appt, I have wellcare of Ky. My surgery is scheduled for Oct 24th. I've done everything required; psych evaluation, nutrition appts, had an endoscopy and my bmi is over 40. Have chronic problems too. Thyroid, back pain etc. They are submitting my stuff this week. I assume they are used to Medicaid and know what to do. I'm still worried I'll be denied. Wednesday is all my preoperative testing.
