This person is usually always snappy. It's not just you don't worry. -
Well it says she has extreme back problems so maybe the doctors are confident in their reasoning.

I just had band to bypass and was only on clear liquids week one now week 2 I am on yogurt pudding and strained cream soups
-
I had the same problem. I didn't realize that was the cause and every morning I would wake up feeling like I was dying. I had my 1 week post op yesterday and dr told me it was because of it and to switch to rule on and I fee SO much better. He said it takes 2 days to get out of your system

Weight loss at 3 months post op
lf1227 replied to lf1227's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Hey! Thanks for responding! I don't recall my surgeon setting goals for me.. at least not yet ( lose x smith by this time for example). Right now I am 8 days post op and I am down 23 lbs since surgery. I actually gained on my pre op. I assume that this rapid weight loss will stop soon so I was just trying to get an idea of what people's average percent or lbs lost around 3 months -

Band removed & seriously considering bypass

That is terrible I am glad that you will soon have your bypass! By the way what part of AZ are you from? I lived in Gilbert the last 6 years but am temporarily in New York -
Yes I feel the same way! And I am okay. Healing up fine but every morning I wake up nauseas, burning and dizzy. At my 1 week apt today the doctor told me it was most likely the Percocet so I haven't taken any today to hopefully tomorrow I will be normal because I have things to do and I need to drive [emoji21] I did advance to soft foods today and had strained cream of broccoli and it was so good! Eating makes me nervous now though lol I am glad you are doing great!!

Yes! I just had my band to bypass and when I got home and weighed myself and was 5lbs heavier but was reassured it was iv fluid. It took about 2 days to lose don't worry!

Adverse reaction to Percocet phenomena
lf1227 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just had my 1 week post op apt and I have been cleared for soft foods ahhh! Can't wait to have yogurt lol. While I saw my doctor I explained to him how everyday since I've been home immediately when I wake up I feel hot and dizzy and nauseas and very ill. Liquid Tylenol only made it worse so I waited and took the Percocet I was sent home with and I felt so much better! But then it turned into a cycle where in the morning I'd feel like **** and then by nighttime I was lively, no pain feeling food. He then explained that it was mostly likely side effects from the Percocet and to take pill Tylenol. The thing is is that I have never had that terrible side effect from Percocet although it's very common. Anyone else have this problem?? I am going to refrain for the day and see how I feel tomorrow morning [emoji855] -

Are you really surprised? I like this forum but there are quite a few arrogant, self righteous posters who stick their heads and opinions on a lot of posts because to them "they are right"! [emoji849] those people (probably know who they are) are the worst! That being said you can't take everyone seriously lol but I get where your coming from -
Awesome! Won't lie I am excited to be able to eat some Nice healthy foods! And thank you very much! [emoji173]️ how is everything at 5 weeks out?

Girllllllll I am 6 days post op and I have been thinking about food non stop! I've been thinking and craving food so much it almost turned into a game with my fiancé where I just call out what I am craving that minute. Plus my girls gotta eat and I am strong enough to where I don't have to run and hide when some eats around me but damn. I just keep telling myself the horrendous consequences of even sneaking a bite a this stage and I remind myself how if I stay honest on this diet I will reap the rewards. 6 days out and down 20lbs so I don't want to be the reason why that goes back up. You will be ok! [emoji173]️

Band removed & seriously considering bypass
lf1227 replied to Mizmarycate's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hey there! Sorry to hear about what you have went through, I just had my band removed + revision to the bypass 6 days ago and I am down 20 lbs. my band was NOTHING but trouble since day 1 and it spiraled me into depression for the three years I had to deal with it. Already my RNY has been good to me and I haven't even been able to go to the gym yet! I personally highly recommend the RNY because all of these wls are equally risky in their own way! If you have any questions please ask although like I said I'm only 6 days out ! Good luck [emoji173]️ -
In September my fiancé and I will be celebrating our ten year anniversary and have booked a trip to Disney World! By September I will be 5 months post op, I'm not quite sure what my meal requirements/ limitations will be or what to expect when it comes to taking bites of food/ brining my own bari friendly food to save money and agony so I wanted to see if anyone has been there post op? Thanks

Thank you so much! You have brought up some really great points! The last time I went to Disney land it was November in cali so I didn't really worry about water so thank you for the reminder! I'm gonna look into the camelbak right now!! [emoji16]

Thin Mint Protein Shake

This sounds amazing, thank you! -
I would advise that you reconsider the Lap band. They are being phased out by surgeons all over the country because if there failure and complication rate! I've just my band taken out and revised to the RNY. I wish I would have just skipped the lap and and went for the RNy in the first place. The band got me to the point where I was vomiting 6 times a day and could barely keep water down after 3 years of no weight loss. That being said if your daughter still wants the band try to get an Aetna or bcbs shield insurance. I have BCBS and only paid $575.00 for the revision and bypass. Best of luck
