I'm getting violent without caffeine
Raynbolite replied to mollydeez's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I gave up sugary sweet coffee before surgery, then didn't drink it again till, well this week. I'm on my 8th week and back to normal foods. I do drink one cup of caffeinated coffee each am, but I combine it with my Protein shake, so no added sugar or fat. Makes my Protein Shake go down easier....which makes me happier. Dr said no caffeine, but this is my one vice....every dr seems to have different opinions on coffee. This is what I do. It's my only caffeine, that one cup a day, if that. Bai...love it... coconut is my favorite and such a nice change from the poweraide zero, crystal lite or ice Water. Yay Bai! Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

If you drink when you eat, it washes the food right down. You don't have time to get the nutrients and you can get hungry faster. It's a pain, but works. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

Cravings are making me crazy
Raynbolite replied to dawson62704's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I dreamt of a buffalo chicken wrap since day 1 post op...now I am in wk8, finally can eat whatever I want...so I went out to dinner, got my wrap...ate a little...tasted amazing. Took rest home...decided to eat a bit more for an evening snack, and ran to the bathroom and vomited like crazy. I'd been waiting for this for 9wks and it made me puke. Seems what my cravings think i want and what my new stomach wants, are very different. Learning to eat all over again. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App -
Nice thing about today, is you get a whole new day tomorrow. Just one step at a time. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

1/2 a cup for soups too....they slide down faster, so you don't feel as full...like you could eat more. But I'd stick with measurements your dr gives you. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

62lbs in 3wks is crazy and unhealthy. New PCP....asap...that is horrible. 15lbs to 20lbs in a month is amazing....your PCP has no idea what this is about. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

Angry at Unsupportive SO! Get a backbone women and men!
Raynbolite replied to Pescador's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My husband is a good man. He is also going through Bariatric surgery recovery as I am...we have both had good and bad days. We are both putting up with the other's bad days, but it's not easy all the time. People shouldn't settle, we all deserve the best, but we're human too. Our hormones and emotions are all wacked out. Sometimes things aren't as bad as they seem to be in the moment. My hubby and I try to remember that on bad days. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App -
I'm at 8wks and I still get exhausted so easily. I still have a lot of weight to go, but I'm up to 2miles of power walking each am. Then I'm exhausted. I can only do the basics through out my day. My dr says 3months is where most people feel like themselves again and to just do what my body says to do. Last thing I want is to back slide. I follow the program, fluids, Vitamins, Proteins and 800 cal at most. I'm just tired all the time. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

You don't look like you need weight loss surgery!
Raynbolite replied to shannenm's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You carry your weight so well... you're just tall...yea yea.... people just don't get it. I know, if the zombie apocalypse happened, I'd be the first to get eaten! I can't jog for more than 3seconds. I'm 8wks post op...gotta a long ways to go...but I am going to get lighter and healthier. I can admit I'm fat, why people around me can't, makes no sense! Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App -
I didn't care. For me, people knowing about my surgery was not a big deal. If they judge me, who cares. Most everyone was supportive and gave me encouragement. I didn't have to hide anything. I understand if people feel the need for privacy and it's a personal choice. It's your right. Just for me, being open was a good experience. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

Raynbolite replied to natarshassleeve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Miralax, laxatives, MoM, doulax....any thing your dr okayd...try to keep your bowls moving. Once you get really constipated...it becomes very painful. I've had a lot of trouble with it. Good luck. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App -
How Many Calories Were You Taking in Around 7-8 Weeks?
Raynbolite replied to kharenzhee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
8wks and up to 800 cal. I understand the too easy...I feel that way too. My calories don't go up again till 6th month. It feels like forever away and I use up my calories pretty easily. Proteins and veggies are my focus. This is not easy! Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App -
Does our stomachs ever stop making the crazy ass noises? Whenever I eat or drink it growls and rumbles...funky noises! People look at me funny...which is not a big deal...but I took a drink of my Protein shake in a meeting and those noises where heard by all. Most people just smiled, but does it ever stop being so loud?? Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App
