No visit with Ben and Jerry's...just veggies. But it's an old habit. One day at a time...but like you said, if I mess up. There is a new day tomorrow. Good luck to you too!! Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

What do you miss or think you will miss about being obese?
Raynbolite replied to 111's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am only 2.5 months out...but I miss my boobs. Yesterday I put on my bra backwards and it fit just as well as frontward. Sigh, they are also starting to hide in my arm pits. Jerks. The positives far out weight the negatives...but I feel less girly. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App -
What has been the hardest part of your journey thus far?

We are supposed to have 2 to 3 Snacks each day. So I eat an earlier dinner, then one veggie snack in evening. It's hard not to go back for more...I try to keep busy or cuddle with my kiddo and watch movies Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

Doxaholic-. I just drip all the time..gross gross gross...it's my face which is the worst...I hate people staring at me. Sometimes I tell them I'm having a hot flash. Anything to get them to stop staring. At least it is just sweat...I don't stink. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

I just worry that grazing, even healthy foods, can turn to grazing slider food. One slip and down the rabbit hole I go. I need to control this old habit. Which I will. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

I have one Protein shake in the am. To help me hit my goal protein. The rest is food. It's a challenge, but I know it's best for me. Real food is better for us in the long run. I just take it slow, trying new foods, one at a time. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

Breaking-up with you, food. It's not you, it's me.

???? just what I needed to hear. I get frustrated, I am in a stall...so everything seems more overwhelming than it really is. You are right...I need to "knock it off"...plain and simple. Control! Again proudgrammy ...thank you! Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

Good point. I was figuring low cal veggies where at least not hurting my calorie count or carbs...but I should try the extra Protein to fill up more. Learning to eat all over again! Sigh. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

Just curious, is soup a slider food?
Raynbolite posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I tend to be able to eat a bit more Soup than any regular food, during meals. I'm not over doing it by any means and I'm staying with the calories, carbs, and Protein counts. I eat slowly with baby spoons. I eat my 1/2 cup portion with solid food meals and am quite full, but with Soups I tend to go a little over to feel that full feeling. Do you think soup is a slider food? Just wondered. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App -
I have a question
Raynbolite replied to marissahealthiernewme's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I use exercise, art, crafts...but I also use a counselor. Letting go of the emotional food eating is the hardest part for me. I felt lost with out it. But it is better. I am getting stronger and healthier in so many ways. I'm 2.5 months out and my journey is still in the beginning, can't wait to see what life will be like in 6 months! Awesome! I feel like everything you wrote is in my head. You described it perfectly. I'm working on creating new coping skills, not food. It's a real challenge, but I know in the end, I'll be better for it. Good luck to you. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App -
Yup. Not that I noticed. My hubby did too, but he did feel a tightness for a while, but it's passed. It takes time to heal larger hernias. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

I'm further on, I added chopped broccoli...yum....went down great and the whole family eats it. Not just my hubby and I with our surgery tummies. You can do this with anything. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

Sleeve scheduled for 10/19- would you do it again?
Raynbolite replied to jaylee9146's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
If I went back...I'd get my ass off the couch and not get to the point I needed it. But since that isn't possible, I am glad I've done this. I'd do it again. Even with the ups and downs...the mistakes I've made in the beginning (goofy newbie stuff) ...it is worth it. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App -
Just curious, is soup a slider food?
Raynbolite replied to Raynbolite's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I make my own soups usually in a crock pot...mostly so I can shred the chicken for my hubby who can struggle with it. Maybe I'll make it thicker, extra chicken to increase Protein and fill me up faster. I was just wondering, thanks for the responses!! Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App -
I started out walking for 5min 4xs a day...the increased it to 10min 4xs per day....and so on. That helped me without as much pain. I just slowly increased my activity as I felt better. No over doing it. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

Is this yogurt okay to eat? Nutritional info below.
Raynbolite replied to kayelly's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
My dr said Greek yogurt for me, higher Protein, but also needed for healthy digestive system. I just adjust my calories and carb count with other food choices, but I have one Greek yogurt a day. My new stomach has been mostly happy post op! Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App -
5 here...they were larger then I had thought they'd be...but considering they used to slice you up the middle...no real complaints. I'm very fair skinned, so I will probably have permanent scars...oh well, not aiming for bikinis at any point! Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

I've struggled with it too. My problem is moisture for me. I try to keep my skin dry, powders, anti-perspirants...I wash and dry it a lot. Frustrating. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

My husband struggles with meat, chicken especially. But he can eat it in the crock pot. I also make a taco soup with chicken. He can eat it that way too. Unfortunately for me, except for breads, I have no problems with anything yet. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

I tried everything for constipation...finally added coffee back in to my diet and I am so much better. I used vanilla premier Protein shake to sweeten my coffee. I hate exercise, nothing works for me. I am walking 2miles per day, which gives me the 30min a day the dr says to do. But if anyone has a good ideas to help people like exercise...I could use some.
