??? I have lot of sensitivity in the area of my port, It seems to protrude a bit. No schedule appt with DR, as my last fill before xmas has given me great restriction, even though I am still struggling to lose the last 10-15#. -
snow snow go away..... maybe 18" plus today on top of last night's 5".. now rain and sleet, getting ready to head off to work, for at least a few hours, then home...we canceled all of today's appointments, but will head in for phones and paperwork... better than sitting hoe with the munchies.. I hate cabin fever!! Stay safe everyone!

Snow shoveling. hate it, but it is good exercise. We had 26" of snow as the official count here Delaware

Haven't been around alot lately, but really should be. Struggling a bit, but have great restriction, remembering to listen to my body and not my hunger. This is definitely a life long change so have to remember that. Still glad I had the LB and know it was my best decision..Just keep on moving forward. -
Still here lurking around!!! busy as ever, work, moving..never enough time to get everything done. And my eating habits have been terrible. once I get settled I will get back on track and hopefully lose those last 20 # I have been struggling with

kick me in the butt....have to get back on track. Have to get my food journal set up and U-S-E it. I do have a friend in the same situation, we were banded within one month of each other. Even though she is young enough to be my daughter we created a bond and have encouraged each other along the way. Back to basics!!! -

bread and pasta are the worse for me, as is a dry tough meat. Turkey burgers kill me.. the pain: too dense. I do have rolls sometimes, but pizza is a thing of the past.. crackers are ok I am preparing my favorite staple for cold weather. Homemade vegetable soup..add some shedded chesse after heating and I am ready to go..yum.. -

Cravings vs. Hunger I always want chocolate...but can usually manage those desires.. Even after almost 2 years post surgery I am still learning to work with my band. As we all are.. -
yes, the LB is something I would do again. There are several people at work thinking about having it done and have asked for my input. I try to be honest, give them some of my good and bad issues. But in the end they seem happy to have someone to discuss it with... Happy New Year!!

I may be at my sweet spot now. I canceled an appt for 1/4/10 knowing I would not need any adjustments. Can't really tell if I am losing anything right now. Still having issues with the cellulitis and leg swelling. Happy New Year!!!! -

Cellulitis is an infection of the tissue. Mine was about 75% of my leg from ankle to back of my butt cheek. painful, and sore.. Better now, back to work full time next week. Still some discomfort if I am on my feet too long..So therefore I find myself sitting and resting with my leg elevated..Most likely from an infection in the incision from my thigh lift revision just before Thanksgiving. But nothing was every conclusive as to a decision as the cause -

Merry Christmas!! Enjoy. Made it through the day, Enjoyed myself with family and friends..Tomorrow maybe hitting the after holiday sales.. Time to shop for my daughter's birthdays.. Back on track with my food intake..unfortunately the celluitis has kept my leg swollen so any true weight loss is hard to figure out. I did lose 5# since just before Thanksgiving.. -
HAPPY HOLIDAYS !!! Enjoy time with family and friends

Tough time of year for all of us. Without the band I know my weight would skyrocket. We are all greatful for our decision to be "banded" and know it is our tool to help us get a better, healthier life. All we can do is our best and remember how much better we feel and how much more we are able to do to enjoy the holiday season with family and friends. I am surviving on protein drinks, mostly right now, since my activity has been curtailed to recovery from cellulitis, and instructions to keep off my leg, but happy to be home..even with cabin fever..with or without the 18" of snow we got here yesterday!! A HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON to all family and friends and fellow bandsters. Enjoy and be happy

Hope all are doing well this holiday season.. I agree, b'day around the holiday seem to get lost in the shuffle. My oldest daughter's is Jan. 7 and she will be 30 this one. Hope to get a bunch of her friends together for a big bash.. She deserves it... Still recovering from my hospital stay. Go to DR tomorrow to see about clearance to get back to work. Even without the 18" of snow yesterday I have cabin fever. At the mercy of others to shovel me out. My poor dog got lost in the snow drifts: he is only a 10# mini-poodle.. I even am going to ask my EX...Hey, he'll be at my daughter's down the street to help her dig out..lol Other daughter os 3 months pregnant so no shoveling for her, DR orders... A safe and HAPPY HOLIDAY season to all -

Like the idea of a do over LOL Feeling better, thanks for the well wishes. At least I am not having company for the holidays and will be going to friends and family for xmas day. Snow, Snow and more snow here in Delaware, about 6 inches so far and a total of 12"-18" predicted. Unfortunately I cannot be outside enjoying it with my grandson.. -
Kathy, I am now around 180. Hoping to lose about 20 more, even though I have had my TT and thigh lift. Biggest thing to remember is exercixe. I find if I lapse on that I see little change. Try new foods. When I get really stuck I'll do a feww days of liquid, then soft , mushie etc.. just like after surgery,, on a smaller scale.. kind of a jump start. Also, food journal. it is amazing how many calories there are in those little "innocent" nibbles..

4 days in the hospital, including my birthday, for cellulitis in my right leg..no real explanation to the origin..and now the past 3 days at home. Can't do anything, keeping off my leg. Hope to get back to work next week.. Cross your fingers At least I completed my holiday shopping on line.. otherwise it would not have gotten completed. But no decorations.. Need a pick me up for my spirits -

been following things to the "T". had 1cc added on Monday, and getting back slow. want to try and eat how I should. I was slacking off there for a bit.. I figure or hope this 1cc will tighten me up enough to give me the feeling of fullness I have missed for so long. Wish me luck.. All I want now is something crunchy to chew on. -
well, I was divorced before my lapband, but will say it has given that boost of confidence to meet others.. In fact almost 1 year with my someone special.. I didn't tell him about my LB until August...felt the right time would present itself and it did. he has been supportive of my choice and there for me when I struggle. Have to something about my "holiday" weight gain.. but working on it..with the hrlp of my recent 1cc fill.

Doctor put 1cc in my band. so liquids for a day or 2. Hope this helps. I went to another doctor in the practice, since my surgeon is so booked. I guess time will tell if this helps me at all. -
