family weight issues/// my mom was 5'4" tall and 94#, Always, she never fluctuated.. Others were always on the path of struggling to keep at a decent weight. My girls are like noght and day, one takes after my mom, the other after me. She realizes where she is, but has no motivation to cjhanfe. I worry she will end up where I am and pray she doesn't Got fill #4 today, another 1cc, now at 6/5 cc in my 14 cc band..

I am also a fanatic for What Not to Wear. I enjoy the tranformations that the clothes make. It help to see what styles are flattering to different body shapes. Another show is How Do I Look on the STYLE channel. It starts out being a bit harsh, but again the difference the clothes make on one's attitude is fantastic. My biggest accessories now are shoes, watches and earrings. I even started wearing a little make-up. I can't remember the last time I even wore any kind of make-up. I was pleasantly surprised by the change it made in how I looked.. Janet - Make sure you let us all know what you end up weaing for your debut

Welcome bacak Fenton, and you were truly missed by us all. Sounds like you have a few weeks of ups and downs. But now back to the regimin. 3cc in a 14 cc band is not a bad first fill, I had 4cc for my first fill and am only at 5.5 cc right now..due for another fil, #4, this Friday. An apartment in Paris, sounds like such a luxury, but then a perfect lace to write and contemplate. We have all had our ups and downs and seem to bounce back..So we are all here for you and ready to hear all about your travels and how you are adjusting to the fill..

Migraines - thanks again for the thoughts. She is on medication and usually can calm the migraine within 24 hours, but this time it has been 5days. She has had all types of tests done and was on a variety of meds to help prevent them, IE-topomax, effexor..and has injectables when one hits. No real trigger asociation.. WOW, no power in Columbus, I guess I'll give my brother a call in Cincinnati and see how they are doing. I would not have thought IKE would have effected that far..

things have slowed down here, but life goes on. Hopefully when Fenton returns from PAris he will tell us all about his travels and his first fill Slow weight loss these past few months.. but still losing. go for fill Friday.. Very stressful at home now, daughter having terrible migraines and nothing helps to relieve them..:tt2: So lack of sleep and not eating right is paying it's toll on me.
-
thanks for the kind thoughts about my daughter. more tests still pending, and yes, a lack of sleep is tough. I am still going to work, but by the phone constantly. she is 28 years old so is competent to be on her own.. I go for a fill on Fri. and fairy I have the same issues as you, eating too muchm but at times feel more restriction, hoping for at least a little fill to boost the restriction

it was a rough weekend, not really a couch potatoe, but had alot of sitting around. my daughter is in the hospital and I spent lots of time there and didn't eat right, if I ate at all. defnintely low on the protein intake just a recurring issues for her, but it is still a drain to not have any defnitive answers and just waitng for test results. I have to try and get in some exercise between work and visitng her.. and getting things done at home..I NEED A NAP.... I see Dr. Wynn on Friday.. hope for another fill

REFLUX - I had terrible refuls before surgery, but had a rather large hiatal hernia repaired at the tine oif surgery and have no issues with reflux since Tempermental band - I also find everyday is different with my band, somedays I can eat whatever I want and then other days I may have issues with just drinking water. I believe the weather and stress play a part in these changes. It wa an extremely stressful weekend for me and I had trouble eating. Also the changes in the barometric pressure probably is an issue
-
all the looks are fantastic. I do like the black dress with the white design at the hem..
-
So far a verey quiet weekend. just hanging around the house and doping some shopping.. I was tinking that my band changes with the weather and stress.. maybe that is why it has been so "fickle"// I will have to ask the DR this week, due for fill #4 on Friday. Enjoy the weekend everyone, stay dry if in the path of Ike.

WTG everyone on the weight loss milestones.. YIPPEE
-
WTG, congrats on the milestone. a suggestion on finding shirts that are longer. I always had lots of luck at The Avenue. I go to University plaza. If you hit the sales you can get some GREAT bargains. And I usually only shop for bargains I too prefer the 3/4 sleeve and can find them there.

Luckily I have not experienced hair loss, but my weight loss seems to have hit a stand still
-
I had my surgery at Christian with Dr. Wynn and go to meetings for both groups.

Elayne not sure why a physical therapy appt, maybe because of knee surgery?? who know, as we have said many times before.. every DR has their own little things they want done, as well as a million and one different post op diets I used my 12 months DR followed/recorded diet and BP.. and that worked fine for the requirement. The key is to have it supervised and documented.. they are really looking for those repeated or continued efforts at weight loss. -
welcome stacy I hope to go to the meeting Weds, night, have some ??? for Dr. wynn Any one else gonna be there, if so see you there

WTG, wow 57# total Hey everyone seems to be getting back in the groove. Now that the holiday weekend is over we can all concentrate more on ourselves... I find when there are lots of things to do and people around I tend to slip in my good choices.. -
Great NSV..... tried on size 1 pants, and they fit!!!!! I even went out an bought some new cool weather shirts. everything I had from last year is way too big. My budget is taking a hit with getting new clothes, but I do enjoy being able to try new styles on and have them fit..

Thanks for the kudos and the boost of confidence. But yesterday I was BAD. I had about 1900 calories, even with journaling.. I was amazed at the toal for the day. Today I vow to do much better, even with a picnic to head to in a bit. I have found that with my eating I am getting a bit too fast..... and maybe not chewing enbough,, :scared2: another thing to get my mind in check on. There is a support group meeting this week I hope to attend. I may be able to ask my questions there and not wait until my appt on 9/19.. Luckily, my Dr is the one that is monitoring the meeting. I have another 4 bags of clothing to donate. I did a bib house cleaing and took lots from storage..I even founf clothes from 10 years ago... -
I think i need to get to the group with Dr. Wynn. Have several questions to ask..
-
I want to tell Fenton how much I enjoyed his book. I read it while on vacation. Now I can't wait for the 2nd book As for filles everyone. I think just having 5.5 cc in my 14 cc band just can't be enough to give me the right amount of restriction. As I have said my band has been very fickle. today everything i tried to eat seemed be too much. one piece of sushi and that was all, usually i can get in 4 pieces, even drinking Water bothered me today. ??Does the weather have anything to do with how much restriction our band gives us??? I know that is an odd question, but just wanted to ask
