I do thionk we can consider this a 6 month plateau. there seems to be several of us at the same point. I seem to finally heading at a loss. Being VERY conscious of my intake: calories and Protein.. seems to be helping. As well as now having physical therapy for my knee, it has helped tone up some muscles a bit. so an added benefit there.

that will fall off with time, like any other tape. I was told not to pull it off, I did though at about 2 weeks post op. It was itchy and catching on my clothes! -

WTG mom!!! :thumbup::tt2::thumbup: -
here so many of us sit at a plateau. I have lost only 6# in 3 months, and that is being generous with my count. some gains in the process too. If anyone can figure out a solution to the issue please pass it on to those of us in the similar position. I am trying to keep my calories at no more than 1200 per day and walk on a regular basis HELP!!!

PRE op testing - I had all but the doppler and PT eval done. I am also glad to have such a thoriugh medical work up. When I started the journey for the surgery I had not made up my mind to actually get it done, but knew the complete medical testing would be a benefit. My decision to actually have the surgery came right before my last pre op appointment. And I can say I am the happiest person that I made the decision. My lapband pal and I are both at a stand still with weight loss. I am 6+ months and she is 5+ months post op. We have vowed to inspire and keep each other on track.. walking regularly and calling each other when we have a lapse of motivation. We usually talk a few times a day anyway. so we have just made a new committment to keep up our current success and continue to succeed. Having a close advocate to the weight loss journey has been a really big help to me. Between her and this thread I know I will get back to the loss column and continue to exercise..as well as my PT for a knee injury.. -
I don't know if the question is do you need the anti imflammatories it is that, as I was told by my DR: we are not to take NSAIDS...I ended up with a course of prednisone when I told my Orthopedic DR I could not take NSAID, since lap band surbery

Annual get togethers would be a great thing. Maybe there is a way we can coordinate some regional get toethers. Enjoy the Poconos. I haven't been there for a few years, but enjoy the area and it is so closr to me. This time of year will be so colorful with the leaves changing their colors. -

Take it easy for your first solid food after fill. Neve sure how much you can actually take in the first few times My fill from 9/19 is still making up it's mind as to how much I can eat, so I have to be very careful with my intake. I seem to be very restricted at tmost of the time...I lost 3.5 # the first week after the fill and wioll weight in again tomorrow. -
Clothes - I wore a shirt last night that I had worn last October, just before I decided to have the Lapband surgery. My gosh, it is BIG. I have a pic of me from back then and now need a pic of me in it as it fits now. Other than that I have very few pictures of me

Julie - Don't forget to have sugar free popsicles on hand also. the coolnees and flavor were a great treat. Good Luck, you will be fine

I am heading to a local weight loss event on Saturday in Philadelphia. Not sure what to expect, but there are some interesting speakers scheduled as well as several vendors and such. Nothing like trying a new adventure!! -
The totally adjustable lapband !!!! Everyday seems to be a different feeling with my band. Some foods are ok others are not, then the next day something totally different. Since my last fill 9/19/08, I have great restriction. My intake is down to what it should be. Sometimes even less. After a slow Summer of weight loss I am glad to have restriction again and be back in the weight loss journey.

I think this has been addressed before. What is the vitamin or supplement that was talked about to take when you are stuck and PBing. I have a fellow baner friend that had issues the other day and I could not remember the name to tell her.. -
I never thought about a robe and really didn't need one. The few times I walked around I just put another hospital gown on like a robe. The IV ploe makes anything else difficult. I have very loose sweat pants for the ride home. and the pillow for the seatmelt is the best idea anyone had for me. Just have everything set at home for when you get back there. I was all set up for me.

seems this last fill is very helpful. I lost just under 3.5 # this past week. :tongue2: I have notices my quantity has greatly decreased.. sometimes after just a few bites I feel the beginning of tightness, so my brain is telling me to stop eating. I have started physical therapy for my knee and knoe that "may" increase muscle and weight loss may slow. Just hope the therapy eliminates the need for knee surgery.. :wink2: -
My fill is working. I think this last fill is the best thing ever I have great restriction, at least for now...lost 3.5 # this past week

Restriction - as of now looks like this last fill is creating more restriction. Today for lunch i ate 3 small meatballs and was "full", last time I at 5 meatballs-that was a few weeks ago. I am relearning how to determine time to stop eating. I am eating a bit too much most of the time stil, but am getting better.....It seems with each fill you have to relearn your guidelines.. I'll weigh myself Friday and see if I am finally losing again.. -

So sorry to hear about your dad and husband. Nice to have hubby home I am sure. And family support is always the best. I am sure we will all keep you and your family in out thoughts and prayers. -
Halloween treats - I have decided to give o8ut the small bags of pretzels this year, so no tempting candy in the house.. Fenton - I finally had time to begin reading your book. It is fantastic. I wish I had more free time to get into it more. But I am anticipating what will be next everytime I pick it up. Still feeling out the effects of my fill last Friday. Eating so slow and chewing. Tat is my biggest problem. I have always been a gulper and a fast eater. I have to get back on task. I'll weigh myself on Friday and see how I have done this week. And Fenton - I would love to hear more about your Paris trip

I had a small fill on Friday, 1cc. Well needed too...I was eating around 2 cups at a meal. way too much.. Not sure I feel anymore restriction yet, but I am taking it slow. Had 2 days in liquids and now a day of soft/mushie. Trying to get back to my routine, but having a tough timne. Starting physical therapy today for an interstitial tear in my ACL. Fun, right!!!!! Hope to fend off having any surgery. WTG for everyone.. -
Got my fill on Friday. 1cc more. so liquids for a few days. Hope this puts me back on the loss side of this.. For the first time I gined a little... but for 6 months post-op I can't be too upset. Hoping to get back on the band wagon and eat smaller protions.. Looks like everyone is succeeding, Caelyn, not too much longer to go.
