Mimi- So sorry for your loss. Having family and friends around hopefully made the day a pleasant one. I know how tough it is to find the time to grieve. My sister passed away, suddenly, last January and I still has times when I do not believe she is gone. I wanted to call her yesaterday, but just spoke with her in my own way. All the best and hope having all thos family members around helped. I am sure your day was looking down upon his family, smiling :tongue2: NSV - I saw someone yesterday I had not seen since last Christmas. She came over and introduced herself.. She didn't even recognize me!!!! We had a good laugh after she realized who I was. It was a great feeling to know that I was unrecognizeable to someone... Now back on the wagon and watch my food intake. Too much cheese and pepperoni yesterday..and a few glasses of wine. Joined the gym and will start with a trainer after the first of the year. My gift to myself!! Hope everyone had a great day. -
NSV - At yesterday's family gathering I saw someone I had not seen since last xmas. She didn't even recognize me. We had a good laugh after she realized who I was. It was nice to "shock" someone that much. :tongue2: Hope everyone had a great day. The food was a plenty, and I tried to be careful!! as much as possible. Lots of salad and cheese for me..and a few glasses of wine!!

UGH, Miralax, used to be by prescription and was used as a prep for colonoscopy, so that indicates it's potency. Nice thought  Happy Holidays. :tt2: I will have no acess to LBT once I leave work, my dial up connection at home does not connect..for whatever reason//and it is SOOOOO slow.. -

Remeber to have a day or 2 of soft, liquid diet after an episode of PBing or sliming. Irritation from that will make other foods tough to tolerate for awhile. I tried a metamucil type product, YUCK!!...now back to benefiber..I had no constipation issues before surgery, but now, my gosh....Like you I forget to take it regularly!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS to ALL..be safe and have fun with family and friends -
Christine - sorry to hear you are having such issues. I think considering the Gall Bladder may be a good idea. as well as the esophogram that is set up. Good luck and hope you feel better. Don't you wish you were alson going to Hong Kong with your hubby?

Cravings & feeling full - I still have my usual craving, but nothing oput of the ordinary, just know that if I eat some of those things I will suffer. I feel ful different, located in the upper stomach/chest area. and if I have eaten a bit too much I begin to burp..and feel lousy.. FYI - papaya enzyme tablets seem to help a bit when you "over eat" just chew a few and it seems to help relive the fullness/discomfort and help digest what is in the pouch a bit quicker to relieve the pain. -
I do not have much fill in my 14cc band, so guess I have lots of room to go if I ever need more fill. At this point I am just about right. Go to the DR next Tuesday and will most likely not get any additional fill..

STRESS - my band reacts to my stress... I can not get anything in, even liquid if I am super stressed...and other times, just being a little upset will cause a small reaction

Hockeyson - my thoughts and prayers for the whole family. We realize how precious our 4 legged friends are everyday and knowing they are hurting just makes us sad. I hope your baby is comfortable and makes it through one more holiday season with her family. Best we=ishes.. -

My thoughts are with you today. I had the same choice to make a few years ago, my Maxie was 17 1/2 years young. God Bless! -
I too had a severe hernia that was repaired at time of my band. In fact Dr. Wynn said it was one of the worse she had seen.. Imagine that, all these years with Acid reflux and the surgery and repair put an end to that... I think it slowed my recovery a bit. I was so sore the first week, much more than others who just had the band and no hernia repair. Hang in there it does get better. The liquids are tough. but I had SF popsicles, and jello that helped. and you so want something with flavor!! I am a fan of tomaoto soup so that was a good one for me.. Hang in there.. so worth the discomfort

Looks like we are all surviving the holidays. No weight gain would be a great task. Remember those holiday season when and added 5-10 # would be the norm. Just think where we all were a year ago and how far we have all come since then. Congratulations to all of us!!

JoAnne - so sorry about your precious Abbee. It is so tough to lose a dear friend and family member, Dogs are our best friends and family on 4 legs. You will at least know she is at peace and not suffering. You have your Jack and he will be a comfort to you. Janet - Thanks for the kudos. I am feeling somuch better after yesterday's court hearing with my daughter and grandson. Still exhausted from not sleeping, but will catch up this weekend, I hope.. I DO need to get a pic. post my before and after. Maybe I'll get myself some professional photos done as gifts for family... -
NETTI-POT - yuck, I have sinus issues and to think of pouring something into my nostrils!!!! Weigh in tomorrow morning. It will be my firs ttime on a scale since just after Thanksgiving, when I gained a few...

Janet - on a personal level the temporary visitation issues for my grandson was today. Not as bad a it could have been., Dad only has 19 hours per week with him.. no overnight.. thankful for that. Still a strain on all of us with my daughter's crazy work schedule, but no problem.. we will survive. Now we have to look forward for a custody hearing.. but that can be quite a few months out. Thanks so much for your supportive words NSV - went shopping at Talbot's, and was able to buy a few things. feels great to wear a L-XL in a top and size 12 pants  Still cannot get a picture of me I like to post here. but have found several from before surgery - Yikes. I never thought I looked that big. -
Great idea!! I have avoided the scale for the past few weeks. Last time I was on it I had gained just over 2#. Afraid to see where I am now. I don't think I have gained anymore, and do feel I have lost, but cannot face it!! HELP!! I am going to force myself to get onit Friday morning, that is my usual weigh in day..

Texas Roadhouse - Love it. The rolls were always a downfall for me, but like so many of us I also do not tolerate dread too well. I went to Lone Star Steakhouse the other night for my birthday. A fellow bander friend and I shared and appetizer and a steak. Best way to go. the few bites of steak we had left went home for my dogs to have a treat.. I am afraid to get on the scale. Have not weighted myself for over 2 weeks. and I gained then. I have to get over the fear of the scale. I'll update you all when I get back on it !@!!!! -
That sounds about what is going around the office here, today 3 out of 5 staff members are out sick :blushing: So the 2 left are working out A$$ off.... Little time to think about eating, just phones and work... I do find when I am really busy I do not think about eating, which is bad and good. I do not get in all my Protein and that is not good!!!

Janet - I toook your suggestion and got my SF "treats" in the house. Now that they are there I am not tempted as much. spme reverse psychology I guess. The werther's caramel and dove dark chocolate are very good and reasonable for calories and such. My favorite is the protein hot chocolate mix.. I will get myself on the scale the end of the week to see if I am succeeding in holding my own or even losing a bit... I am enjoying the "relaxation" at work today after running myself ragged over the weekend.. -
10 days until xmas... Shopping is done, but no baking for me. Shopped 'ti I dropped on Saturday, my feet were killing me. Still some issues with eating too fast..when will I learn. I am afraid to get on the scale.. last time I had gained 2#.. Hope everyone feels bewtter. There is a nasty repiratory bug floating around in the office here...

REFLUX - I guess I am lucky. After getting my band I have had no issues at all with reflux, and I was miserable before. I do have episodes of PBing and such. But I make sure I have papaya enzyme tablets handy. They have been helpful in most cases I just have to remember and chew, eat slowly and be patient.. -
Chocolate is my enemy- no matter what kind. I am trying to buy some SF samples to have on hand. It may not be the real thing, but if it tastes somewhat similar I hope it will help curb my cravings. Too much stress in my life now and chocolate has always been my salvation or crutch. I have to change my attitude and refuse to give in or hopefully satisfy myself with the SF types..
