@@RichHTX your bowel movements could be extremely normal OR cause for concern so I'd definitely call your surgeon. Carafate (antacid) is working wonders for coating my stomach. People in my program take it 4x a day an hour before a meal for 2-4weeks after surgery and Protonix once in the morning 30 min before a meal for a month Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I am so excited. I check in at 7:15am and my surgery is at 9:20am. I am beyond nervous and having some doubts but I think it's all normal because I'm 100% ready. I'm a little mad because for the past couple mornings I've woken up with a sore throat and a stuffy nose (because the air is so dry) so hopefully that is not enough to cancel me. I ended up staying two nights in the hospital with them considering keeping me for a third, however it was up to me if I wanted to stay or not. Only Ativan would work for me and luckily mid day yesterday everything clicked and I felt much better. They sent me home with liquid Ativan and I did okay eating stage two today. How is everyone feeling? My doc is considering having me stay another night because I can't get my nausea under control. I've thrown(if you even call it that) up twice. I had a substitute PE teacher in highschool that told me "you're pretty but you could stand to lose a few pounds" after I just helped this old man take attendance and go over what we do daily. I'm obese but I've alway been physically able to do everything a smaller person can. I can run a mile without stopping and I'm extremely flexible.
