Now I know what y'all mean by restriction!
Dody replied to Pam Tx's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
So glad to hear you could eat just fine and with no problems. I will be so happy when that amount of food fills me up. Congrats. -
I love to read success stories...love, love, love. It makes up for the ones that aren't so good. There are so many people out there doing great. I can't wait to get my band, and hope the surgeon approves me to get it. I have all my paperwork in order, so I hope everything is a go. Congrats to you on a great weight loss, and to all of you that are achieving such great results from the band. You are a real inspiration.

You look amazing. Wow, didn't know P'Nut was so great on computers. I don't know how to do any of that stuff. You've sure come a long way and must be very proud of yourself. Thanks for the recipe for the egg drop soup. I know Protein is a must and there's a lot of protein in eggs. How do you do with scrambled eggs? I think that Aloe Vera juice has some kick-a-poo juice in it It's certainly working for you.

I saw the show where Tony was wearing the Hans device. He can have quite a sense of humor for sure. I love the way he speaks his mind...I really admire that in him. He has changed in the last yr. or so...lots calmer. I really think he is the best driver there is. He is just about always in the top 10. I look for him to come out on top this year too. Pulling out of my e.mail and putting where? I'm talking to someone who is very computer literate and I'm dumb, dumb, dumb when it comes to computers. I can, however, ask me daughter to pull them....but put them where? Darn...will you send them again. I just deleted by accident. I am an accident waiting to happen I think. I was clearing out the junk in there and was going to leave just the Tony stuff and deleted it all.....sorry.

You posts are most informative. I come here to hear from great bandsters like you with incredible weight losses. I couldn't be more pleased that you are a good friend. Take care.

OK, I'm being very serious here Susan. Does Dr. Cahn have to use his stepstool to give fills? That's a very legitimate question you have to admit. LOL at him throwing a dart from across the room...he probably couldn't reach up high enough. OK, enough with the jokes. Is the guy 5' do you think...he looks like he would fit in your pocket

Missy will get mad at me for sticking Gordon in the sock drawer. She probably wants him in the lingerie drawer If you want to e.mail me don't use the e.mail on here. I'm going to be in Tennessee so use Brooklynn108@hotmail.com. If I can't manage it myself my daughter is a computer whiz. We are just going to have to share Tony, and at the rate he's going that won't be too difficult. That blond at the awards dinner didn't seem to last too long did she. He's still up for grabs I think. I missed the awards on TV this year...didn't see them listed and I kept looking. Were they on? LOL at Tony in your king sized bed....too funny.

I thought about a Chinese restaurant. Sounds good. I'll also pick up the Aloe Vera juice. It sounds like it would keep you well "greased". My worse worry is something getting stuck. Thanks for all the info.

So glad to see a thread where someone says a fill doesn't hurt...whew what a relief. I'm not even banded and dreading the fill. I'll relax a little about it now. I know Susan wouldn't lie to me

So happy your mom was there for you to help you out. The thread made me think something bad had happened, and I'm so very glad it didn't. I hope you enjoyed every day with her. I've lost my own mom and she was my best friend too. I hope to this day I said and did all the right things and she knew how much I loved her. My dad died last yr. at the age of 100 and was sharp as a tack but in a lot of pain after 3 knee surgeries. They are both in a far better place and I think of them often and always with love. I hope you have many, many years to enjoy your mom. They truly are a gift from God and you only get one. Best of luck to you.

LadySplenda-what is "drop in pouch". Pouch of what? The Best Me: Thanks, I couldn't find the post where I asked you before. I also asked you about the Aloe Vera juice and where you buy it. Seems like it would be great stuff. Both recipes sound really good.

Firefighters are some of the most important people in the world. I have the utmost respect for the job your hubby does, and he got my vote. Best of luck to you and let us know how he does.

Remember you are my support system:) I will be expecting to hear from you as soon as you are able to get to that computer and PM me. I'm getting really excited for you. It's getting close. I can remember when we were looking at 6 mo. and now you are almost there. I hope by next mo. I will be too and you can walk me through the baby steps. You are in my prayers. Keep me in yours.

What a great weight loss. I always forget to ask you what you have lost on the band. That's phenomenal, but then you are the model bandster. You keep a journal and everything. I only hope to do half as good and I will be thrilled. You seem to have just kind of flowed through the process with no major problems and that's what I need to hear. Keep up the good work. (and Dawg amazes me what he is doing piggy-backing you. Kudo's to him too).

DRUM ROLL!! Robby????

That would be my man Tony who is having trouble getting in and out that car window. I wonder what our hopes are of getting him into the lap banding thread...WOOHOO. 3Loves where are you finding the pics of the NASCAR numbers and pics of the cars that you are using for Avatars. NASCAR site? I couldn't find them. Thanks. 3Loves, it was you that had pictures wasn't it, or am I once more confused? If I had a life sized pic of Tony I would need a room for it. Good thing Missy likes Gordon...she can just fold him up and put him in a small drawer:)

This doesn't belong in the American Idol thread, even though the show is what started my depression tonight. Little did I know Kenny Rogers was going to be on there. My husband could have been Kenny Rogers twin brother. When my husband was killed 10 years ago in an auto accident his beard and hair were just beginning to grey. My husband was often stopped on the street and told how much he looked like Kenny Rogers (I personally thought he was a hunk) and he won a celebrity look alike contest at Disneyland for looking the most like a celebrity (Kenny Rogers) right down to the cowboy hat and boots. I realized tonight what my husband would have looked like today had he lived, and it was very sad. Then Elliott and Paris both sang songs that I had sung at my husband's funeral that were favorites of both of ours. How Can I Live Without You and If Tomorrow Never Comes. Needless to say I cried the entire show, and am missing my husband so much at this moment. I leave for my daughter's on Monday In Tennessee and she is the female replica of her Dad...could be why she is so precious to me. I'm a wreck, and along with that I dropped my Xanax today and down the drain they went. When I called my dr's. office they said they were sorry "nothing they could do". I know that isn't true. They could have prescribed Valium or something to get me through the next mo. as I just had the prescription filled. I went in to pick up some prescriptions today and told my pharmacist about it and he told me that because my insurance doesn't even cover my Xanax and I had refills on it he wouldn't even consider letting me go a mo. without it and he filled it. So much for a good dr. She knows you can't go cold turkey off Xanax. Yes, I know I'm addicted to it, just as some people are to caffeine and nicotine, but I also know I don't want any panic attacks that can lead to heart attacks coming my way, so I prefer taking my medication. I'm leaving to soon to find a new dr., but I certainly will be going to when I come home. Anyway, today has been a very tough and sad day with the culmination being American Idol and all the memories that came rushing back. I don't think anyone on here is in my situation or as old as me, and has lost their husband like I have, but maybe, just maybe you can understand what I'm going through right now. I just want to hide from the world.....

That is an extremely good price for surgery in the US. Good for you. I'm glad you found such a reasonable dr. with such a good reputation. I used to live in Topeka years ago when Forbes Air Force Base was open there. There was a barbeque place in town I absolutely loved, but the name escapes me. Keep in touch and let everyone know how you are doing and good luck to you.

In the race at Bristol when the newbie Truax was alongside Gordon and dogging him (because he claimed earlier in the race Gordon bumped him) Tony came up from behind and bumped Truax out of the way to help Gordon out, and of course so he could get by. They may well be friends. Anyway, stay and be happy and root for your favorite driver. Like I said we don't want 40 some cars out there with no one rooting for them. Try and like Tony. He may soon be joining our group if he keeps eating those Big Macs :scared:

Whether they pull this or not, it is obvious it isn't good for us. Thanks for finding that article. I now don't feel so stupid for publishing what I had heard, even though I guess it hasen't been pulled yet....but I'm not a doctor and I don't know what I'm talking about (the following is brought to you courtesy of Dr. Pleatman and Geezer Sue)

Why does she annoy you? Is it because she is kind of back-woodsy or what? Annoying to me was Chicken Little, but I look forward to seeing Kellie. Just what do you find "annoying" about her?
-
For those who don't find Kellie talented, I have no answers for you, because she is. She is the best female vocalist there. Chris is the best male. I do believe it will come down to Kellie and Chris in the finals. Maybe Kellie bothers a lot of people because she is so beautiful and has a figure to die for....I know I would love to have it. She is a super talent and will go a long way in the country field, and let's all remember Carrie Underwood who won last yr. was a country singer. The rest will fall by the wayside, as there is no one can compare to these two. I think Kathryn is pitchy and she is the one that gets on my last (musical) nerve. Just my opinion...you know what they say about opinions. Oh I forgot I'm supposed to state "I am not a dr. nor do I know anything about the medical field". That was kindly given to me in a post, although I was a nurse for 38 years and where would doctors be without their gophers to make everything right for them. Now back to the regular programming. Love you all.

I made the jump - I scheduled THE date!

Hi, is there a recipe for egg drop Soup or is there someplace you buy it already made? Would you share with me. Also where do you buy Aloe Vera juice. Thanks so much for the help. -
I think the star of the show next week will definitely be Chris. Queen material would be right up his allley, and can't wait to see what he performs. As for Kellie, well country is really where it's at for her, but for a lot of others rock is not their thing either, so it should get mighty interesting. Chris seems to be the only authentic rocker we have. I bet he's thrilled with this choice.
-
I don't think they choose where they sit. Last week, Ryan just said the whole top row was safe. I think they are assigned seating. I didn't see Kellie anywhere around Chris tonight...but then I haven't seen it at all. I could have written that song for Kenny Rogers. Once again teary eyed. It seemed like the perfect song.
