describe what you mean by hungry... I'm asking because I was sleeved 12/21 and while I have felt many many interesting things I wouldn't describe any as hungry. My stomach makes crazy noises but that's acid and digestion. I get bored laying around so i start thinking about bacon, lol. But my stomach is full so its not hunger I think about how my last solid meal was 12/19 and how good it was ( I went out with a bang, lol) but that memory is not hunger. So what are you experiencing that you describe as hunger?

Lapband / Gastric Bypass
Andell replied to journey2befit's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't know anyone with a band longer than 5 yrs that hadn't had to have it replaced or removed. For that reason it was not an option for me, I had no desire to have to do this again. I had the sleeve done. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Exercise after surgery. ALSO puree foods not filling me up
Andell replied to kc13's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What does "back to normal" mean? Eating solid foods? I'm eating solid right now and can only do about 1 to 2 oz at a time. A cup of food per meal? I'm not even close. I'm pretty sure they don't ever want me eating 1 cup of food at a time. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
mine was only 1 day and my procedure was does in the us inpatient.

How to log food and drink when you keep weird hours
Andell posted a topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I works days and nights, some times both. Any suggestions on how to long my Fluid intake? Like I'm drinking right now, is this yesterday or day? My days generally look like this wake 5 am - go to bed 5 pm, wake 9 pm to 5 pm the next day - 2-3 days a week Basically I'm working 1st and 3rd shift sometimes back to back. I sleep in between shifts. On 1st shift days Im up usually 5 am to 9 pm. i guess I could just do midnight to midnight or 6 am to 6 am. -

I was told constipation could be an issue. My nurse told me to pick up an extra bottle of Mirlax when I picked up my pre- op prep stuff and keep the dulcaulax I didn't use. I took that to mean I would be needed it.

How to log food and drink when you keep weird hours
Andell replied to Andell's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
that was my original plan but some days I have more day hours than others so it will make the log look off when i go to see my dietitian. I'm thinking that I will just try midnight to midnight this weekend to see how it works, then try it the other way Mon-Tues. -
Lord I hope this doesnt not happen...my cycle came a week late this time I figure because I had the surgry when it was due. I was hoping it would shorten

Yes, you are drinking like 1/2 what you should and the only time I've been dizzy is when I've napped when I should have been drinking. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Day Surgery or Inpatient?
Andell replied to kaypitre5's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Depends on your surgeon. My sleeve was impatient, I had to stay 3 nights. I would never do it as outpatient. The care and support I received was amazing. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Plant based diet and sleeve....
Andell replied to Newme17's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I hope you post your progress...as much as I love meat I could see cycling on and off a plant based diet when I hit a stall. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
There is no way any of you are actually "hungry" the desire you have to eat is an emotional one and one of the reasons we ended up over weight in the first place. Your stomach is incapable of sending hunger signals at this point, which is why you should be drinking using a schedule. Think of yourself like a baby. In the first few weeks they will drink up they spit up if you let them. Eventually their stomachs and brains connect and they are able to cry when hungry and stop when full. We aren't there yet at 1,2, 3 weeks out. This battle is more mental than physical at this stage. Don't let your food addiction win Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Day 6/7 - still no hunger, still in pain. I can no longer get my shakes down so I ordered unflavored Protein powder to mix in my broths. I'm not a fan and sweets and all the sweet drinks started making me nauseous. So I'm mostly drinking Water and broths. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
