    3 week stall

Each person is different, but my doctor wants me doing between 60-80 grams of Protein a day. Anything above that is just wasted calories I'm told. I have a scoop (1 T = 30g) of GENEPRO a morning in an ounce of Powerade Zero. It's like doing a shot to supplement my protein intake. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Soup?

The energy I felt was once I lost 30 lbs post op. About 6 weeks in, but I'm ahead of schedule on weight loss. Everyone is different. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    3 week stall

I stalled for almost 3 weeks. It's normal, don't get frustrated. Stick to the diet and exercise. Drink lots of fluids. I found the body stalls every 20-25 lbs or so. The liquid and exercise helps break through the stalls. Stick to the diet! I'm 10 weeks post sleeve and down 40 lbs and 65 lbs overall. Stick to the diet. Soup?

Just the broth for the first 2 weeks, liquid diet, no chunks or Pasta. I found the bullion cubes disgusting. I got Lipton noodle soup, made the packet as normal and strained out the noodles. It isn't going to take much to fill you up. Sip it until you find the amount that works best for you. I'm 10 weeks post surgery and down 40+ lbs. As far as no drinking during meals, is very tough. I sip a Fluid as needed. But the liquid will fill u quicker, so sip small amounts. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. The worst part of the pain is the incision points as they cut through the abdomen muscles. Whenever I use the to stand, sit, or bend over I feel it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I had some pain from the surgery and some mild nausea that was handled with meds. I was very happy to hear I list 17lbs during shake week. I leave the hospital tomorrow mid day and am looking forward to being home. The areas where I was cut are sore as they cut through the nerve endings, which is expected. I walk laps around the ward to stay active. As the private room is lonely. The extended family came for a visit and could feel my blood pressure rising. But overall it's been a great experience. 9. @@alemapsept15 stick with us and we will help get you through it. A few of us are on Monday. This will be a tough hurdle to accomplish, but if we stay the track and do the program that is laid out for us the weight will come off! Eat smart and exercise and we will be fine. As far as sleep, look at what is at the end of the road, a slimmer, healthier person than the person you have been. I'm excited, but will get nervous the day of. Let us know how we can assist you. 11. Yes. My shake is the stage 2 diet. But I get 135g of Protein a day with it. Not hungry and I just went food shopping with the family. All stocked up on broth, popcicles, and Jello... Yes all sugar free! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. shakes and Water are all I get, no veggies or vitamins! It's amazing how everyone has a different diet leading up to the big Day! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. Just talk to your gas passer prior to surgery and let them know of your anxiety about the mask. They'll make you comfortable as they don't want someone uneasy about the process. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I had my first shake this morning and it tasted great. It was Bariatric Advantage vanilla flavored, with 8oz of Water. Much better than vanilla flavored Shakeology which I've tried previously and at less than half the price! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Congrats BP! Kadi and I start the liquid diet tomorrow. I just went out and had a small ice cream with the family. Since April I'm down a waist size on my shorts, so I figured a small cup wouldn't kill me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
