  2. I can relate to your post. I try to stay positive most days, or just ignore my emotions. I literally miss food and find myself listing all the things I want to eat. I feel like I think about food way more than I used to also. One thing that has helped me is that I kept a reminder on my phone for my weekly shot for diabetes. I no longer need the shot or any other meds as my diabetes is gone. That is a success for me and helps me re-focus on the reasons I made the decision to have surgery. Maybe try to find small successes, because this journey can be challenging. I wish you the best! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Does it make me a horrible wife

I understand where you are coming from as my husband is very, very similar! I am a very independent woman and he loves to take care of me, which isn't needed very often. I try and let him take care of me but it does get hard, especially now that I am two weeks out from surgery and doing well. It's all done in love so I'm just letting him dote on me. I go back to work tomorrow and then I'll be taking care of myself for most of the day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Pain?

Had my sleeve in the 27th, still having pain near my biggest incision. It gets a little better every day. I can't imagine being back at work yet, still in recovery mode for sure. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I need some good come backs

I've been a lot about this topic and what my comeback will be to people. And here is how I'm going to try to handle it: "I feel great, thanks for noticing" and then ask them a question to quickly change the subject. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
