  1. Main thing I was inquiring about was because the new sleeve pts seem to be eating much less. I know I'm allowed to eat that but I was asking if it were normal. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. And the banana I had was mashed and just shy of the 4 tbs. I am "sticking" to what my NUT suggests and if she says tbs, then that's what I'll do. Everyone's plan is different Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. When mashed, you can easily measure 4 tbs. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Thanks shaunie. I actually thought about that. However, I'm not allowed Peanut Butter until next week for whatever reason. I usually stop before I'm full. Usually when the hunger sensation goes away, I stop eating. Getting my Protein in has been a constant struggle for me. Since the surgery I've not found a shake that doesn't make me vomit. My doctor actually told me to stop trying because I dehydrated myself. I did get some unflavored gene pro and try to add it to things it will mix with. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  6. Umm because 1 small banana IS approx 4 tbs. again, if you aren't offering anything positive to the post, move on. Thank ya kindly. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    3wks out tacos?

Exactly. We are all doing the same thing and have the same goal. Why not use each others experience as tools to get through the tough days or questions we may have. Listen, I know tacos aren't a good idea, you know tacos aren't a good idea. But she had a question and shouldn't be afraid to ask. Instead of saying it how I said it, you could have approached it a little more delicately. That's all I'm saying. There is no such thing as a stupid question. I have found so much useful info and so may helpful people on this site. Then there are those "others" who forget what it's like to be brand new and have those forehead slapping questions. 8. My plan says 4tbs of mashed fruit as a side to a meal. I didn't have anything else with it since I ate on the run. Pretty sure I'm fine. My response was that we are all friends here, if you don't have an answer from experience to my question, kindly move on. Don't question what my plan is or what I'm allowed. I find it rude. I'm following my plan to a T. I'm not trying to start a juvenile argument, so if that's your intention, don't comment. We are all adults here. Dub, thanks for the clarification. I took that answer much better than the original. Good luck y'all Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  10. Not trying to be rude but........Thanks for the nutritional facts but that wasn't what I was inquiring about. It was a grab and go snack on my way to work. It's on my diet plan that my NUT provided, so please keep opinions out of it. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. Because I'm allowed to???? Why wouldn't I? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App It's mashed Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    3wks out tacos?

It's sad that we are a support group/informational group yet we have to worry about what we post because people are rude and ignorant. To the lady that said "geeZe you guys are too nice" and then continued with her condescending judge mental comments, we are all fighting the same battle. What makes you better? Why be ignorant. Didn't your mother ever teach you what to do if you have nothing nice to say? For the most part I've seen such supportive and awesome people on this site. Once in a while I come across the assholes. There really is no reason for it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. So I lost 15 lbs week one but ended up in the hospital for dehydration. I got many liters of fluids so I knew I would come out weighing more. (Water weight) however, I've been out of the hospital for 3 days now and still haven't dropped a pound!!! Anyone else stop losing week 2? I know it's only been 3 days but I'm getting discouraged because of how fast it was coming off right after surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. So I'm 10 days out. Last 2 days I have been hungry! I thought they took the "hunger causing" part of my stomach. Is this in my head? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. GENEPRO was a life saver for me. Plus, Dannon makes a Greek yogurt that has 22 grams of Protein per serving. It taste great. I can't keep my kids out of it. lol. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. Yes. It isn't intense. But it's nagging. Like, I made some cauliflower white cheddar Soup that I found the recipe for on a bariatric site, so I know it's good for me, but I'll eat my 6-8 tablespoons of it, then 30 mins later, I want more! This is the first issue I've had. I can't tell if it's more of a craving because it was the first really tasty thing I've eaten in a month, or if I'm legit hungry. Knowledge

Amen Ramona! Same, I was in bad shape as well. Took me a hospital stay to learn. It's SOOOO important to get that Water in no matter what. Also, it's not an easy way out. Surgery is changing your whole life, changing how you eat, what you eat, when you eat. It's not easy but I'm convinced it will be worth it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    2nd day out question

I want cheese puffs! I have passed them up at the grocery store 3 times now and daily in the work vending machine! I've never found myself "wanting " cheese puffs. Lol. I've bought them on rare occasions to pack in the kids lunch. I think it's because in my head, they are soft and I think I could tolerate them at this point. So now I'm dwelling on them, as I would love a salty treat! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    2nd day out question

Sip sip sip! You have to meet that Fluid requirement. Day 5 post op, I ended up with a 4 day hospital stay because of it. I am still feeling the effects of the dehydration Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. When in puréed stage, did anyone use baby food or do u think it would have too much sugar. Also, I'm seeing different diets for many people. What week post surgery were you able to have more than just clear liquid and Protein shakes? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
