    Old habits

I am going to give a really honest and respectful response. I don't think it's a lack of motivation. You clearly have a disorder if you were prescribed medication for it before. Disorders don't just go away bc they remove half your stomach. I am a mental health counselor and have a master's degree. So I'm not just spewing uneducated opinions. You need counseling to restructure the relationship you have with food. You can take all the medication you want, you can get the surgery 100 times if you don't work on the cognitive part of the process you'll continue to backslide. I really hope you understand this and go speak with a counselor not just the psychiatrist. Please let me know how you're doing. Good luck to you. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  2. I was diagnosed a sleep apnea like a month ago and my surgery is next week. It didn't delay anything. I stopped breathing 147 times an hour but mine is super severe apparently. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App

I feel your pain. I post legitimate questions or concerns and don't get response some times then I see people responding to "can I eat tacos?" ???????? lolllll it's hit or miss!! Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App

    Failed :(

I quit smoking the day I met with the surgeon bc he told me it increased my chances for a blood clot after surgery. That scared me enough to quit. I never picked up again. My surgery is next Thursday and I've been smoke free over 2 months. Good luck but your capable of quitting. Its all a mind game!! Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App

    This fast sucks

I'm on day 4 of pre op. Struggling at times but I haven't cheated... I am on full liquids so cottage cheese, cream Soups and yogurt are ok. I mix all my protein in with those typically. But it's getting old, quick. I feel your pain. A lot more difficult then I imagined it would be. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App

    genepro vs isopure

I'm using Isopure unflavored. Clumps a little bit in hot Soups. Amazing in sf pudding and shakes. I do a cup of milk, Greek yogurt and Protein in blender. Can't even taste the protein. I also did cream of wheat today and couldn't taste the protein. It mixed well in that. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App

  18. Holy crap! I can't believe how fast this process has been. I saw my surgeon for my very first visit 7.25.16. Now October 6th is my surgery date. Wow. It flew by... I never thought in a Million years I'd ever consider surgery. I kept saying I'd work it off and I did at one point lose 70 lbs on my own. Then I got pregnant and gained 80. Since then I just can't get ahead of it. I'm now 330lbs (did i just share that with a bunch of strangers??). I go in and out of mixed emotions but I'm so Ready. I'm actually looking forward to the liquid diet. I want to cleanse my system. I'm sure that'll change a few days in!! Well here goes nothing!!! Life changes and permanent solutions! 22. I am getting surgery at the end of September. I have to do the 2 week liquid diet. I wanted to start doing a liquid diet once a week, then 2 or 3 Times a week and progressively work up to the two weeks so it's not completely overwhelming when I have to do all liquids. Can anyone give me an idea off what their liquid diet looks like on a daily basis? What are you drinking? Are these drinks ok - v8, light and fit Protein smoothies, creamy Soups? Also what about fruit juices and if so what kind are you using ? Thanks in advance!!! Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App

    October sleevers?

October 6th as well in Wilkes Barre pa! Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  25. Hi everyone. So I start my.liquid diet this thursday, surgery October 6th. I have been feeling extremely emotional. I'm not having second thoughts today just kind of "grieving" in a sense. I'm reminiscing about all the diets and exercise plans I've started and stopped, all the years I've spent being over weight, etc. It brings tears to my eyes thinking about everything I've ever done to lose weight even as far as driving 8 hours to Ohio for a biggest loser audition. I'm emotional I think because I think this is it. I think i have finally found the one tool that will give me the life I've dreamed of. Its so surreal to think it's so within reach. I have been nervous about complications and had some second thoughts earlier in the week(the complications esp blood.clot scared me) But I've had 3 surgeries In the past with no complications, bowel resection, hernia repair, and gallbladder. So I did well with all of those so I talked myself back into it. Since then I've been ok. My severe sleep apnea scares me more. I had a sleep study and found that I stop breathing on avg 142 times an hour. That was a scary thought. Anyways. I'm just venting now, just emotional. Anyone else feel like the weeks before they found themselves extremely emotional and thinking about EVERYTHING? Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
