I followed you! I'm waiting until after my endoscopy (my final requirement pre op ) before I start a separate ig. I should get a date shortly after that! Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
  2. I'm sure this sounds stupid since they're both unflavored, but does one taste better than the other? In my experience, the flavored Isopure has a strong Protein powder type taste. Is the unflavored the same? Is it creamy? What about nectar? I'm pre-op and trying to pick one for mixing with whatever both pre and post op in case I hate the sweet flavors afterward. 4. Absolutely. But with high probability of leftover powdered protein, I thought the unflavored was a safe-ish investment! Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
  5. I was extremely worried because my medical records show a fairly long string of misdiagnosed psychological problems when I had delayed Post partum depression and PTSD. We got to "the questions" and my psychologist said that she's going to pass me because what she's looking for is cognitive disabilities, lack of understanding, untreated eating disorders, and things like untreated depression. You should be totally fine if your issues are being treated and under control! I know the anxiety is impossible to calm, but it really wasn't bad at all. I was a wreck before hand. Starting Now!

I don't have a surgery date, but my insurance requires virtually nothing, so I get a date after my endoscopy on the 20th (pending nothing crazy showing up!) I've upped my h2o, gotten off cokes, gotten off all caffiene (HUGE deal there), started the 30/30/30, cut most of my carbs, started chewing thoroughly, etc. I have been taking my Vitamins religious for a few months, and trying to start a routine with it that for both myself AND my kids. I'm also going to go ahead and get a flu shot on the 6th. I never get them, but my luck I'll have the flu on my surgery date if I don't. Keep in mind, I don't have an actual date yet, and I wouldn't get vaxxed for anything if I wasn't expecting to wait a couple of months. Best of luck! That's so exciting! 7. Hi all! I've scoured the boards but can't find an answer. How long did you need help with your kids after surgery? I'm a SAHM with a 17m toddler, and homeschooling an 8 yo. The older kiddo is a dream and a non-issue, and we can either break from school or he can do most of it independently. But this toddler.... she's a hot mess. She'd be an only child if she would have been first ????. She's also over 25 lbs, and I've read several places no lifting for 2-6 weeks. My surgeon says two weeks of help. I can easily plan to have some help in and out for a couple of weeks, but what I'm really talking about is major, full-time help. What's your experience? Nervous

I was so nervous! No worries. They just checked me in and made a patient profile, I met the surgeon and discussed and decided on which surgery I wanted. He checked my belly button, felt my belly, checked for swelling on my legs, and discussed what they did laproscopically. He then brought me to a patient coordinator who discussed what my insurance required of me, scheduled a few appointments, and I was on my way! Easy peasy and comfortable!
