    I love this thread. I can't wait to upload pics but I'm at work. I came here late and didn't find this place until two days after my surgery, and not this particular support group until at least a week after that. I think. So I feel kind of left out, and like I have missed alot.

    Jaxbandster you are always so helpful and informative. My addiction is bread, and I can't really get it down so, thats kind of worked for me.

    let me tell you about my nutritionalist. She said not to eat or drink anything for two hours before and two hours afterwards. That is twelve hours a day that Im not supposed to drink. She also told me I should try to stay on liquids as long as possible after the two weeks because the liquid stage is where I will lose most of my weight. She also invited a student in with her and asked all the questions about my eating habits and I felt so uncomfortable.:wink2:

    Switching Addictions

    Before the band when I would drink the next thing I wanted was a HUGE carby meal, like a cheeseburger, or more often biscuits with lots of gravy, sausage. Anything bad for me. Now that I am banded I notice myself wanting to start smoking again and I have been fighting the urges, but its hard. What are you doing to cope. Going to the gym is a good way, but it sounds like you might need to take some more steps.

    My nutritionalist suggested unjury because it has very few calories and it comes in vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. It is disgusting.

    I know what you mean about head hungry-hungry. The first week or two people asked me if I was hungry and I said, well, no I'm not hungry, but my mouth is hungry. Its hard to explain to people I think

    I think you are all right and its a personal goal. I don't care what the scales say. I just want to fit in normal clothes and be as healthy as I can be.

    Freakin Weekend

    DAng. I do so good on the weekdays, but on the weekends it is so much harder. Especially because I haven't had a fill which I am ok with because I have my date and I am still progressively losing, but I eat so much more on the weekends, and I don't follow scheduled meals, I guess because I eat breakfast before work, lunch at a certain time, and dinner about 2 hours after I get off, but the weekends I don't have that structure. I can't believe I am saying this, but I can't wait until Monday.
  17. Congrats on your band. I ate at olive garden and Logan's steak house already and I can tell you. Eating out is easier at places that DONT put bread on the table. I wish you luck and strength for your future endevours.

    Yeah I love to post on the varies food threads. I also like to go to FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal. Jaxbander introduced me and it really helps to keep up with what you have been eating.:shades_smile: Yesterday B- small orange L- 3/4 package of smoked salmon D- 1/2 piece of tilapia a few pieces of zuchinni and squash. Not much. S- a small piece of lowfat icecream bar.

  24. I love it when you post. You look so good, and you and I started about the same weight and we are close to the same age so Your kind of my inspiration. Of course I am only 5'2.
