    Low Carb Recipies

I still haven't had a fill, but I am scheduled to go to the Dr. on April 17th and we will see then.

And, just like that it's gone!

a few pieces of chocolate is better than a whole chocolate cake...thats where I used to go when I was upset, or rolls.

What food/drink do you miss the most?

champagne. I would have a bottle on the weekends.
  5. So I was hoping we could do this here. I need extra help. Maybe we could low carb it togethor? Since I am just starting this fresh I was hoping noone would mind me starting a new thread for it at my home VV. The other thread on the main forum is so large and intimidating. Anyone want to do this with me? recipes? Ideas? I am supposed to be eating this way anyway so I thought I could renew my commitment (or actually make one) to low carb lifestyle now. Protein first, Veggies if room, and hopefully no carbs. :puke:

I'm so tired of the question "Can you eat this?"

I don't mind "How much weight have you lost" what I DOOOO mind is when I am eating with my family or friends and I make a plate (a salad plate) and they say. "Dont make yourself sick" I know how much I can eat thank you.

Is there room for one more?

I have lost more, but then again I started out at 329. I think when you are larger you tend to lose the weight faster. With the exception of Jax, but she is amazing and follows that no carb diet so well. Props to her. You are doing great. My mom lost twenty lbs by her self, it took her almost 4 months. Keep your head up and keep your eyes on the goal. After your fill, perhaps you will find your "sweet spot"

That is a very hard thing to go through and she is incredibly brave. I didn't come out to my parents until I was 25 and I feel like they haven't really known exactly who I am for half my life. Tell your family to be glad that she is brave enough and loves them enough to tell them exactly who they are. There are also support groups. Pflag- Parents and friends of Lesbians and gays. They will get through this. I am glad she is home also. And for an emotional eater you make great choices.

Oh ok...so I meet a new guy. I am over Mickey. I really am, but I went on vacation last night and I meet Carl Jr. I have never meet him before as I live in louisiana where the only boy is Mickey, and the only girl Wendy. So Carl didn't tempt me too much and I did ok...until he invited me in for a captain crunch shake. I promise though, I feel so guilty and it is def. going to be just a one night stand! :puke:

    Support groups?

Gastric Bypass is so extreme, and not adjustable, but it IS the right choice for some. But those were my reasons for steering away from it...besides price diffrence (selfpay), longer recovery time, and the "dumping" effect. I haven't gone to any support groups, but I live in n.louisiana and there are not too many support groups for anything down here. This is my support group. I love this website.

I just really wanted to share

Thanks everyone. I will keep the appt. I appreciate the input
  14. I posted this in some other place, but I really wanted to post it here, at the home of my victorious valentines.... A month ago yesterday I was 329. Today I got on the scale and for the first time in three years it said something beside 3 _ _. My scale read 297.6- I hadn't weighed myself in a while bc its a good way to depress me and if I get depressed I eat, so almost two weeks ago when I looked at the scale it had gone up from 306 to 308. So I excercised some, but mostly I have been concentrating on stopping when I am full. Thats really hard for me. I go for my first fill April 17th...but if this continues I think I might just say "no thanks"

Thank you all for your support. I believe this is the most weight I have ever lost at one time. I have never been able to do it. I would go down 20, go up 40, go down 20, go up 50, go down 10, go up 100. I am so glad to be here and so happy with my progress. I wish you all the luck, and i am so glad you guys are here with me. tara

    Satisfied, while DH isn't.

Way to go for confronting the issue before it overpowered both of you! I hope things are better now.

I am staying on plan today because a month ago yesterday I was 329 and when I woke up this morning the scale said 297, and I wanted to cry from happiness.

    Did you tell your Doc?

I didn't tell mine, but I didn't really have a need too. Mostly it just didn't come up, but If it did I would tell. I don't believe in don't ask, don't tell, its just not the first thing I tell people. I also don't like people who the first thing they talk to me about is their husband or wife. Thats just me I guess.
