Do you like the new look of LapbandTalk? I don't.
ReadySteadyGo replied to angelface's topic in The Lounge
I'm with you MollyMolly. I kind of like the old way better...but as long as they are not charging me I love this site no matter what they update. Oh, but the new lady at the top- beautiful and inspiring. -
I go to the Dr. on the 17th. Possibly for my first fill. I need to talk to him. I have these...twinges in my tummy. Where the band is I feel this under the skin irratation sometimes. Not always, but often enough I know it is there. If I lay on my side I can feel just a little uncomfortable. I wouldn't call it "pain" maybe just a little "hurt" if you know what I mean. I was banded on Feb 27th. Am I not healed completely. I thought I was. I am def. going to talk to my Dr. and see what he thinks, but I was wondering if this is normal or if I should be extra worried. Or shoot it might be gas. (sorry tmi) but my burps are so wimpy since this band.

I'm staying on plan today because noone else can do it for me. -
This is true...my business, my rules. Then again, you have to treat your customers or clients with respect to get repeat business and That is how you make a profit. Unless your say the electric company or I guess the IRS. If all the airlines treated everyone like crap, then people would drive a whole lot more. If cars were way to expensive to afford (which sometimes they seem like they are getting that way) then I guess I would learn to ride a bike again. I would lose a LOT of weight that way since I live in Louisiana and everything is so spread out. After a month I could probablee fit into one of those airplane seats.

Should overweight people pay extra? Canada says no. - Gadling I found this. Just another article. I came into this debate with my mind made up. I shouldn't have to pay for another seat...but I am not so sure now. I guess I'm on the fence.

Should Medicare/Medicaid cover the band?
ReadySteadyGo replied to wrk-n-prgrss's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
You know I answered no...but I think I would like to change my vote to yes. I am self-pay. I work hard, but insurance won't cover it. I guess I am just a little tired of people who don't work getting better health care than me. I usually don't think that way I am just being negative today. Medicare should pay for lap-band, but maybe not gastric bypass. It will save money in the long run after all, and people deserve to be healthy. I was just being jealous because noone or nothing would pay for my band. -
thanks. Hes a really big guy. I think that he sees me as a test subject. OR maybe he is too scared of the surgery and wants me to fail. Either way I wish he would get off my back.

Why do you feel the need to put most of your points with exclamation marks and it seems that you talk down to people. I would listen to you a lot more if you made your points with less bulliness. Maybe I am wrong. I can't hear your tone of voice, so excuse me if I am speaking out of turn. LosingJustMe- That is crazy expensive for fuel. You work for an airline?

What food gets stuck the most?
ReadySteadyGo replied to Officeslave's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Chicken nuggets. I can eat chicken breast, chicken strips, chicken soup...but chicken nuggets get stuck in my chest and I feel like I can't breathe. -
:cursing:I was banded on feb 27th and I haven't had a fill yet. My first fill is april 17th. I can't wait...but obviously I stopped losing about a week and a half ago. I have lost 30 lbs but it has stalled and I am anxiously waiting my fill. Thats the back story Where- Work When- Yesterday Who- Co-worker This co worker who knows I have had surgery because the people here are freaking big mouths. About once a week he asks me about it even though I don't usually have much to say on the subject. He came up to me yesterday and said "Why is your face broke out?" It caught me off gaurd...I do have a zit on my forward and some spots on my chin. It happens. I didn't know what to say so I just stood there open mouthed So, he answered himself. "It's because you have been eating chocolate, huh? You haven't lost anymore weight right? Why did you stop? Your not eating like your suppose to huh?" I spent the rest of the day feeling fat and pimply. Why can't people mind their own business.

I didn't go to prom because I couldn't stand the hillbillys I grew up with. Two girls actually showed up in a camo dress. Not even the "fashionable" camo but the kind that has real pictures of leaves and bark on it. I just want to wear the pretty dress. I wasn't anti-social growing up, I was anti-preppy. Esp. anti-preppy hillbilly.

Very Important! Please Read! My life is in your hands!
ReadySteadyGo replied to ReadySteadyGo's topic in Rants & Raves
I just can't comprehend that. Your in a car going fast by other drivers going fast. You have to pay attention and protect yourself. If I have to use my cell I use hands free. You need your hands for driving. -
You look great up there bbk

A cotton sundress, light and airy. I want to look good in a prom dress. I have never found one that looks good and I love to dress up. Since I didn't go to my prom I want to have a "prom" party when I lose weight.

An Open Letter to my Bathroom Scale-
ReadySteadyGo replied to ReadySteadyGo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Update on the scale- I haven't weighed myself since I wrote that originally. I guess I will see at the Dr.'s office. But I keep reminding myself that the scale doesn't matter. My health does. So I am going to focus on NSV. They have just slowed down. But I will go in for my first fill FINALLY on the 17th. Oh and Gibson- Its still dead. I ripped its batteries out.
