I would love to take those off your hands...unfortunately I live so faraway from everyone. Dang it.

I don't think BMI is good for men or woman. I think it is very individual. Not that I don't totally respect the accomplishments that our "Normal BMI" bandsters. I really admire them. Just not sure it is for me. Don't think its for you either. Your doing great.

Anyone heard about Ben Stein's new movie Expelled?
ReadySteadyGo replied to gadgetlady's topic in Rants & Raves
I agree with all of you...but I just can not watch overdramatized causes. It makes me sad for the world. For example- Michael Moore. Sometimes I actually like what he is starting to say but he takes it six steps to far. His movies are crap because of that. I don't watch them. -

People. Quit texting while you drive. Please for the love of all that is good in this world put the cell phone down. That is all. Thanks for your time. -

you rock. thanks. -
Well Headhunter. No matter what. If you really had such problems, I wish you a speedy recovery and a happy life. I'm sorry your experience was so terrible with the Lap Band. I don't agree with alot of the things you have stated in the other thread, but I don't agree with everything that has been stated in this one. I don't know you are how much truth is in your story, but it is not a happy one. I hope your journey gets better, and please accept by best wishes for your mother-in-law.

texting and driving his dangerous. If someone is talking on the cell phone they usually are driving like idiots, but texting is waaaay worse. Are you telling me you never looked over and seen some kid with their eyes completely off the road on the phone furiously texting their gf, bf, bff, whatever. Its dangerous and irresponsible. Texting is fine, but it doesn't belong on the road. -
I went in for my first fill today and the Dr. had to drain Fluid around my port first. He said it wasn't anything to stress about. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Any veteran bandsters?

Do any of my fellow Double V's do the myspace thing?
ReadySteadyGo replied to Gibson's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
After looking at everyone else's page I feel like such a vain beotch. Excuse the millions of pictures. I enjoy the camara a little too much. And I have been taking pics of myself literally since I was 11. My mom and I were talking about it the other day. -
I like to go to places that have the kids meal options with fruit instead of frenchfries. Then I get the milk instead of the coke and put it in the fridge.

Ive been worrying too because of those twinges or slight pressure I have been feeling. I think we are worrying for nothing. One more hour for you and ONe and a half for you....yowzers. I am nervous. Are you? I am super excited also. I just haven't lost weight in almost two weeks.:smile: -
in comparison with my belly and butt I didn't have all that much up there to lose.

Here! Here! But how can you stop them? I cringe when I think about some of the parents I met being in control of an innocent, impressionable life.

ReadySteadyGo replied to gadgetlady's topic in Rants & Raves
In newscience magazine they talk about this movie. They said that it is a movie about "Intelligent Design" and how trying to stop it from being taught in school is akin to the holocaust. Supposedly it uses strong emotions rather than facts to get the point across. I am not too excited about this movie, I believe in God and have a strong relationship with him, but evolution isn't something I can be swayed on. It happened. Ben STein is a very intelligent man, however. The movie should be very interesting and smart for those who choose to go. I hope you enjoy it. -
I agree Fairy. It can tramatize you. What you have to do is get over it and move on. Oh but it was so hard when I was younger.

sure. Mine is at 2 this afternoon. Counting down -
Does anyone else still feel twinges when they bend over or lay on their sides? I do. I was banded late in the month but I thought by now I wouldn't be able to feel it. I am scared their is something wrong, but I just wanted to know if this normal. :confused2: I haven't said anything until now but I need to know something before I go to the Dr. tomorrow.

thanks guys. I feel better now.
