Okay I thought I was pretty well versed in the lapband world, but what is the belize band? Is this a diffrent surgery?
  3. I am still on that learning curve but I do NOT think about food all the time anymore. Thankfully. That has improved alot I still have problems stopping sometimes when I know I'm full, but I am getting better.

in the recovery phase of surgery

My legs and ankles were swelling HORRIBLY before surgery. It was scary, really. I have lost 35 lbs and they still swell sometimes, but not nearly at the size or rate as before surgery. When they do start to swell I realize that I need to keep working out. My Dr. says that working out will really help because building muscle in your leg helps push the Fluid out, also having less weight helps the circulation when you are sitting down.

Haha! I bet they don't serve real icecream in hollywood. I bet it is all frozen fake sweetener in frozen fat free soymilk with a sprig of organic mint on top

    Send your luck my way!

Best of luck with your nip and tuck sweetness!
  9. I think everyone goes through the panic stage. Your not alone. Just breathe deep and relax. It's not too bad. You can do this. And this is for your health, it is considered an elective surgery, but truely we do what we have to do. I went through super panic. Surgery is scary, and it is life changing. Perfectly natural. You will be fine.

    Need "mushies" ideas

Hey in food and recipes there is an entire mushies thread. Try there, but since where here--- I ate campbells select soups mashed potatoes mashed cauliflower- mmmm the recipe is in the mushies thread and also in the carb free thread Baked sweet potatoes I peeled squash and sauteed it with some spray butter and molly mcbutter. But I love squash. And I tried the babyfood...it wasn't for me.

in the recovery phase of surgery

Glad to have you Sarah. Welcome to band land. When I first went back to work I had to be really be careful moving my seat around because the bottom of my desk would irratate were my port was. It heals quickly though. Can't wait to see you (or read ya) around.

    gas or hunger pains

The best way to get rid of the gas is walking. Walk walk walk. It helps alleviate the pain. plus be still too long, for me, was painful because the gas would settle in my chest or shoulder or back. And it could very well be a little bit of a hunger pain...I mean it's been a while since you ate real food. Either way. Good luck with your journey. The first few weeks are tough, but I know you can get through it.

    encourage me PLEASE!!

Your headaches could be a withdrawal from caffiene or another chemical you are used to getting in your food. If you are a subconciously a stress eater then your headahes could be caused by the stress you aren't dealing with. Perhaps some stress you dealt with in food needs a new outlet now. I think everyone has second thoughts in the beginning stages. Hang in there. I couldn't count all the new post from new banders saying "I think I have made a huge mistake" or "I messed up, please help!" or "Depressed right after banding, should I call my Dr." Just a helpful hint. I would write it down. Write down how your feeling not only for you, but so you can look over it before your Dr.'s appt. My Dr. asked me how I was doing emotionally and I hadn't really been paying attention. I was fine after my surgery, now after my first fill I was a hormonal wreck. It gets better.

Anyone else have a theme song?

Oh my freaking goodness Ezma you are the coolest chick ever. I can't tell you how many times I have run around singing that sound, especially in highschool. In fact (dork alert) it's on every playlist I make INCLUDING my myspace profile. That is a freaking awesome theme song. I have diffrent theme songs for diffrent times of my life. At this point in my life self inpowerment and proving my own worth has been really really important to me so at the current time in my life here is my theme song. ANI DIFRANCO "Not A Pretty Girl" I am not a pretty girl that is not what I do I ain't no damsel in distess and I don't need to be rescued so put me down punk maybe you'd prefer a maiden fair isn't there a kitten stuck up a tree somewhere I am not an angry girl but it seems like I've got everyone fooled every time I say something they find hard to hear they chalk it up to my anger and never to their own fear and imagine you're a girl just trying to finally come clean knowing full well they'd prefer you were dirty and smiling and I am sorry I am not a maiden fair and I am not a kitten stuck up a tree somewhere and generally my generation wouldn't be caught dead working for the man and generally I agree with them trouble is you gotta have youself an alternate plan and I have earned my disillusionment I have been working all of my life and I am a patriot I have been fighting the good fight and what if there are no damsels in distress what if I knew that and I called your bluff? don't you think every kitten figures out how to get down whether or not you ever show up I am not a pretty girl I don't want to be a pretty girl no I want to be more than a pretty girl

    Slow Losing?

Hi. Okay so I was banded on 2/27/08 so I am ALMOST a march bander. I am a wishy washy loser. I will lose then lbs at a time then stop for three weeks. Seems to be the way my weight loss goes. Just as a comparison I wanted to throw that in there. I try not to worry about it because my DR. has actually told me not to diet. He says eat til your full, and just eat Protein, then veggies, then if there is room eat carbs... I try to do this...for the most part.

Found a way to forget about food

Oh Ezma film what? Oh stop it. I have the dirtiest mind I apologize:blushing: Unless you meant exactly what I assumed you might have meant, which means you might be a gutterhead like me:thumbup:
  23. Heck we could have a wine and cheese party. Cheese has Protein and wine has no carbonation so we can whine and wine all night.
  24. Thanks everyone. I appreciate you guys. This is my favorite little nook of the LBT forum. I can say things here I don't say anywhere else. I love my Victorious Valentines.
  25. I would like to go. That sounds interesting:w00t:
