Victorious Valentine Exercise Challenge?
ReadySteadyGo replied to ReadySteadyGo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I worked out for an hour today. All weights. Arms, legs, tummies. I'm a little sore, I worked hard today. And it feels great. -
I would never be "mad" at him. But he is "telling it like it is" for HIMself only, not for me, not for anyone else. You might have similar experiences here, but we all not the same. Noone hear is going through my EXACT situation. I am happy for him and what he says makes sense, but it's not the end all. I respect what he says, and for certain individuals it might ring true, maybe for most people...but perhaps not for everyone. I do love the idea of the support for the pyschological issues. I would think that some of us have psychological issues. Then again there are some of us that are missing that "full" signal. Whatever. I digress. My point is we are all going through different things at this time, and who am I to say that someone is not doing all they can physically, or mentally, do or judge them for it? All I can do is pray for them in their struggles and hope that things get better for anyone having problems with the band or with their own selves and wish for things to go better for you in the future.

Oh yeah, I forget it gets cold in other places. I don't think I cracked a coat this year...in fact I barely wore sleeves at all even in the winter.
-
I have weird feet. Flip flops won't stay on, and I would get too many looks anyway. Oh well. If something had to be messed up I guess I would rather it be my feet.
-
Ha!!!!!! me too.
-
Well, I will never ever be able to wear them.

I tend to fall and twist my weak stupid ankles.
-
No, I'm sorry. If your worried you could try the pillow trick.

Bitching and Moaning and Stomping my feet...Little bit of a Rant.
ReadySteadyGo replied to ReadySteadyGo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks Gibson. I can always count on you to understand me. I do go randomly to the gym, I try to make it two times a week. I don't usually. But once a week is better than I was doing before. I swim too. Not laps, just kinda bounce around the pool like a chubby weightless ballarina, and yesterday I MOWED THE YARD, the whole yard, and didn't even have any minor heart attacks, which honestly the last time I tried that before my surgery I had to take a 1000000 breaks my heart really was pounding and aching in my chest and I had to stop half way through. I think the mower we have now helps, but I also think it's the lack of the 35lb sack I was carrying around before. -
I feel ya. My boobs and shoulders got smaller...but those were the skinniest things on me so all my clothes look really funny on me falling off the shoulders and fitting on the hips, but all the stuff I have that fit my shoulders won't go over the butt or hips. OOOOOH well, I'm working on it. I think you are doing great Gibson.

That is really really really really awesome. I am so amazed. I am not NEARLY at that level but it's very inspiring to read that you were able to do that.

How long should I wait for an unfill?

So for the first time since High School I am submitting something to a show. For those of you who don't know I am a little obsessed with art, but I have not been able to finish anything in three years I didn't hate, and before that once I finished something it ended up on my wall, friends walls, in myu closet.... I was very not productive with it. Saturday, at the Lucha Libre art show their will be a peice signed by me. And it's brave. It's thick, and somewhat dark, and a little offensive. I have never had the nerve to paint something that others might find offensive. I can be polite to a fault...but It was how I felt and I put it on a canvas and thought. Who cares who doesn't like it. Who cares who gets offended. Thats a big step for me. I am even going to participate in a live graffitti art at the show just for fun. Today I saw a flier for the show, and in with other artist was MY name. Right in the middle. Well...not my name but "Tara the Terror" because that's what they know me as. Anyway. Just proud of myself. Wanted to share. It's better than the scale to me.

Am I going to lose weight????
ReadySteadyGo replied to salam's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think that fear is natural, at least it was (and sometimes still is) a fear of mine....but you have to fight it. Stay strong. My Doctor told me that some people do not lose weight until three or four fills later. You can do this. Breathe deep and take it one day at a time. -
I really cant stand those either. yuck. Oh yeah, the sleeping beauty ones, and exit to eden? Oh I read those. I think vampires are pretty sexy myself. LittleMissbandaid- I fail the test. Who is it?

I uploaded all my cd's to my computer then went through and picked all the fast tracks to put on a playlist for my ipod. That way I didn't have to listen to the same artist the whole time. Some of my favortite work-out music is fat-boy slim, the vandals, the ramones, the offspring, and the gossip. I guess I like a lot of "the" bands.
