I'd add a tasteless Protein powder to those drinks and broth. I'm going to order one called "unjury" based on a friends suggestion. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Ladies : Did any of had your period during surgery?
cklasun replied to gabysmum's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
As a RN, countless patients experience this from stress as others have mentioned. We don't mind, I feel bad for the patients who have another thing to deal with, I usually joke that at least the pain meds can help with the period cramps too! It may hurt to bend over and use a tampon after abdominal surgery (talking about on the way home), maybe pack smaller pads bc the hospital ones are super huge. I also bring baby wipes (flushable) just to keep fresh, that's my preference. Best of luck to you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

I'm getting sleeved 11/4, and I like to ask folks that are a year out or so: have you noticed that you save $ on groceries? I spend $600 a month on food as an average. A lot of things are organic so that is a lot of money, but still, that seems absurd. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

I'm doing the hiatal hernia story too. I plan to tell people I had complications and have a hard time eating then I will Segway into getting a trainer and stuff. I work in a hospital, it's gossip city. I'm usually open and honest but they'll resent me for taking time off for this so I choose to remain private. To each his own. Hi guys, I haven't had surgery yet due to some pre-op testing setbacks, but I have my post op instructions and I'll be on liquids for a few weeks. Was trying to buy a few things today, I came across this gem at sams club. These are organic and small size (perfect), I want to say around $10 for 12 of them. Just thought I'd post for those in my boat. I figure if I can't eat them my husband and son still can! I photographed my hand for reference as to size- they're sized like Protein shakes. Hi everyone, first post. I'm scheduled for my sleeve next Friday (10/7) and I went today and was told by the cardiologist that my stress test was "abnormal." He recommended we do nuclear testing. I'm hoping it was bc I stopped the test before I reached my optimum heartbeat (they wanted me at 168!). I was short of breath (duh! This is why I'm getting sleeved!) makes me worry a bit I've waited almost 6 months and cleared every other test... anyone else have this issue and get cleared after the nuclear testing? I really want to be sleeved and can't imagine living in this giant body forever. I've been imagining the outcome and to be denied at this point would really put me down. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Thanks guys! Pending insurance authorization I'll be doing the nuclear stress test next week. This may end up pushing my surgery back a week (doc only does them on Friday's!), but better safe than sorry. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
