I totally agree on October 10th I had my mini gastric bypass I came out of the anesthesia in severe pain. Everyone kept saying it was gas and to walk. So I walked totally bent over. The Dr. came and did a physical exam of my abdomen and I started screaming from the pain. He said something was definitely wrong. I was sent for an x ray of my chest and abdomen where they saw fluid in my lungs and in my abdomen. On October 14th I was sent back for emergency surgery where I had a hernia, a bleeding ulcer, blood in the abdomen and a tumor. If I had not kept telling the staff I was in excruciating pain. Yesterday I was admitted for my mini gastric bypass and after waiting all night and day (the hospital admits the night before) I was told my surgery needed to be rescheduled because of a patient needing emergency surgery. My first response I was disappointed but then I hoped that the person who needed the surgery survived. My surgeon immediately rescheduled me for Monday October 10 (I am admitted Sunday night). I learned so much on what to expect at the hospital from my 24 hour admission. I packed to many nightgowns,they provided all toiletries , bring a book because I could not sleep and have a bag fill of patience. I had complications after mini gastric bypass surgery on October 10th but am home and doing better each day. My stables were removed today and I was able to walk with a little less pain. I went on October 10th for my mini gastric bypass and came out of surgery in excruciating. To make a long story short I was rushed back into emergency surgery where I had a hernia repaired and a bleeding ulcer that had filled my abdomen up with blood. After the second surgery I felt better but was still in pain and totally exhausted. I came home yesterday October 17th and I lost 10 kilograms. Right now I am able to drink liquids. I am moving slowly but I am still moving. I wanted to share this experience because if I had not verbalized the pain to the Dr's and staff I do not know what would have happened. I went in to have my surgery and was prep and waiting and the hospital had an emergency and they had to reschedule my surgery appointment to Monday October 10th. At first I was disappointed and then I hoped the person that needed emergency surgery survived because I can wait 4 more days for my new life to begin.
