What is your favorite Scale?
EricaTasia replied to Rae5148's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also use the Aria scale by Fitbit. I love it! Plus, you can link it to your MyFitnessPal account and as you lose weight document with a selfie!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

What apps do you use.

I use my fitness pal. And it it worth the extra money to pay for premium membership (I figure I am saving all that extra money on groceries anyway!). You can track all your macros, exercise, Water intake, and integrate it with your Fitbit. I can even take a picture whenever I weigh myself and compare as I lose weight. You can add ingredients to homemade recipes you like and get the nutrient breakdown per serving. MyFitnessPal is the way to go! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I was sleeved on Oct 17, and everything went smoothly. I was up and walking right away, never had nausea, meeting my Protein and Fluid goals easily. However, when I take even the smallest bite of puréed food, I feel a brief cramping or spasm sensation. I have medication to help with this, but it is still bothersome. Have any of you out there had this sensation? How long did it last? Advice? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My surgeon does not recommend eggs during the purée stage. They are allowed in the soft food stage. I just had my first puréed meal this morning. 2 tbsp refried Beans. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

October 17th! Just got my insurance approval in the mail yesterday! AND I am moving at the same time so that's not stressful at all lol! Going to school at the same time...do you think I will feel well enough to go to an internship 8 days out? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I am due to be sleeved on October 17th. I can't wait! Especially for being lighter on my feet and body. I can't wait to hike and run and lift weights and do yoga again without pain and misery. So, tell me all about how your aches and pains went away with weight loss! I know my feet will be happier (and my knees and my hips!!) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Pressure To Return To Work

My work situation is giving me major anxiety. I know I will need a few weeks to recover. My plan is to use my last week of vacation time, plus one or two weeks on short term disability to keep some cash coming in. My job is physical in the sense that I am on my feet hustling on hot pavement outside from 6:30-4:30 each day. No breaks except for 30 min at 1pm. On a good day I am physically destroyed and mentally shattered. Am I crazy for doing this? How long before you went back to work? Anyone else out there with a non-desk job with advice??
