  1. Sleeved 2/19/17 5"3 SW 220 CW 183.6 goal between 140 and 150.
I'm just a little past 3 months post-op. I have had absolutely no nausea or vomiting. I'm a BIG wimp and dreaded surgery. I had my gallbladder out 2 yrs prior sleeve surgery. I was in horrible pain for 2 wks. I just knew this surgery was going to be worse than that. Nope, I was so wrong. I've transitioned dietary phases with no problems. Spinach was a little iffy first time I tried it. I'm eating what I want. That does not include breads, Pasta or rice. Not that I can't eat them, I choose not to eat them because of their nutritional value. My plan does not allow any fruits till 6 months out. Got to have protien:) I'm currently eating 600-800 calories a day.

  3. Glad to hear u got it under control & had your surgery .. that's great!
How much medication did u have to take to lower your number? Synthroid?
How much weight have you lost so far ?
    What's your stats ?

I take Levothroxine 137 MCG. I can't remember the dose I had before that.
My start weight was 243, I'm 5"3, 50 years old. My surgery weight 2/9/17 219lbs. Current weight is 189.2
    Goal 230-240lbs.

  4. My surgeon would not operate on me when my thyroid level was 6.98. He said it was to risky for me. Thyroid effects everything at a cellular level. Surgeon said he'd worry about organ failure. I was to high risk for surgery last Oct. My primary raised my thyroid medication. In November when it was tested again I was 3.8. My surgery was 2/9.

  5. I understand your frustration. This has been happening to me. I'm almost 5 weeks post op and have been so disappointed in my weight loss. I also have found myself up a pound and slowly down. The dieticians do not prepare us for the types of weight losses and when we eat so little, it is natural to assume that we will lose more weight than we have ever before on previous diets. Not so!! I am not sure of the reason but the body does not respond that way. I am at the point where I take what I get, don't question it. Keep doing the program recommendations. A few days ago, I met a woman who had a bypass 5 years ago and she told me it was months before she had any results in losses. Also, if you did not have a high BMI to start, it will take longer I'm told. Watch the salt content on your liquids.

If you are sticking to your program then you are doing everything you can do. The rest is up to your body.

  6. No, your not eating to much food. Depending on how much you are exercising, you may not be eating enough. I had my stall the 3rd week post-op. It lasted 10 days. Stalls are natural. We're going to experience them frequently during our weight loss. Maybe try only weighing yourself every 3 days or once a week.
As long as you are getting your protien and fluid goals, getting some form of exercise then you are doing all you can do. The rest is up to your body.
