Reward for meeting weight loss goal

I buy jewelry. -
I could of had my surgery the first week in January. But I decided to wait. My best friend for 38 years is turning 50 on the 21st and I am throwing her a big party. I worried that I wouldn't be able to be 100% for myself and her. So I postponed my Surgery until Feb 9th. My 50th birthday is 3/30. My hubby wanted to go on a cruise or Go to Vegas. I told him I just did not want to plan anything BIG for my birthday. We've decided that on my year anniversary for surgery and my 51st birthday we'd take that cruise we really want to go on.

I got them at Walmart they're called Pacific they're organic too. I got the bone, veggie, and chicken flavors. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Thank you so much for sharing this info. I've been wondering where I was going to get them at. I hate ordering online for something like this. I like to know if I need it I can go buy it immediately and not have to wait. Too few calories=stall?
kimberb replied to Journey4myhealth's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'll have to ask my surgeon about this. Because I'm fairly certain starvation mode is not a myth. This subject was talked about with my nutritionist and during my classes. If your body goes without enough fuel to run it. Then the body changes how it uses and burns the fuel. That results in less weight loss. I could be wrong. Might have to Google it now. Lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T337A using the BariatricPal App Did Google it. From what I quickly read it's not a starvation mode it's because of your metabolic rate. Hmm live and learn think I'll still talk to my surgeon about it Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T337A using the BariatricPal App -

Regretting not having a good funeral
kimberb replied to Jazzzyjay's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I reached my surgery goal weight in October. I have a protien shake for Breakfast, protien for lunch then whatever I want for dinner. I've been eating all my favorites. I'm 4 lbs below surgery weight now. I'm throwing my best friend a 50th birthday party on January 21. I plan to eat, drink and be merry next weekend. I start my pre-op diet on January 26th. I have enjoyed eating my favorite foods but not at the expense of putting on more weight. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T337A using the BariatricPal App -
Pain after eating at 9 months out?
kimberb replied to LibrarianBecky's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I had my gallbladder removed 2 years ago. I didn't have any problems with eating afterwords. I have not had my WLS surgery yet. Maybe that makes a difference? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T337A using the BariatricPal App -

I haven't had my surgery yet. But I know I will absolutely not be having alcohol during the first 12 months after surgery. Have a bar tender put some water and sliced lime in a cocktail glass for you. That way you have the look and feel of a cocktail. I did get this tip from one of the vets here ????

My Pre-op Diet isn't Liquid
kimberb replied to Jess1971's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine is high protien. No starches and no fruit 2 weeks pre-op -
You should take your thyroid medication on empty stomach. Doc said I can drink black coffee or water for 1st 1/2 to 1 hr. after taking medication and nothing else. Never take with any other medication or vitamins.

Head cold 4 days away from surgery

I was told that if I am sick on day of surgery that I will have to reschedule -
I have Kaiser for insurance. Thankfully this won't be one of my worries. Enough stress as it is. I also just did my pre-registration and found out no co-pay That was a nice surprise.

Veterans can you help me please?
kimberb replied to vannababyy22's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe you should only weigh once a week. It seems that weighing everyday is not a positive for you. My home scale is always different from the doc's scale. I usually weigh myself before going into doc's office in whatever I'm going to wear. Then when I weigh at the office I know how much difference there is between the 2. For myself I always go by my home scale because that is the one I use daily. -
