In the UK we are permitted puréed food from day 1 post-op. Tiny amounts obviously. There seem to be no hard and fast rules. I am 5 weeks out and back to eating virtually normally. Just way way smaller portions. And 35lbs down. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I am 5 weeks post surgery and I seem to have a shorter fuse than usual. I wonder if I am "hangry" Also - I get very real hunger pangs - complete with those gurgling empty stomach noises. Anyone else? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My blood sugar was around 6 steadily immediately post op. Took readings for two weeks and now have been taken off Metformin. Will be reviewed in 3 months. Random checks show readings between 5 and 6. I'm 4.5 weeks post surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
