I'm sure it is Ketosis. I was under the impression that I'd be low carbing until I reach goal. Hopefully I still have friends and the love of my husband by then if that's the case. I've used mints, increased mouthwash and brushing. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hello Out There August 2016 Sleevers!
renewyou replied to Sc7272's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved 8/15 too. I have no trouble getting my Protein in but still struggle with Water. I'm slowly coming out of a 2 week Stall. I'm almost done with pureed food ( hallelujah) and to be honest I only pureed to baby food consistency once. I could barely get it down so I went with minced foods. My daily in take went like this, hope it helps Dannon lite n fit Greek yogurt 12 g. Protein 1/2c cottage cheese (9-12 grams) 1 protein shake. 30 grams 1/2- 1c chicken tortilla Soup ( Costco) 5-10 grams 1/2c Trader Joes guilt free Chicken salad or good eats chicken salad from costco 14 grams Also, I've baked turkey meat balls and added Swedish meatball sauce or masala sauce. The baked meatball is more tender and easier to brake up with my fork. It goes down pretty well if I eat slowly. Like I said, this is how I get my protein in but I'm not a fast loser. I can't figure this App out very well. I had my sleeve surgery 8/15. Started my pre-op diet 8/1 Collectively I'm down 15#s. My first goal is 20# for Aug. Since day 3 post op, I have been able to get my Protein down but still struggling with Water. I also walk most days but won't be more aggressive in my work out anytime soon. Still in recovery. Surgery isn't easy. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
My decision to have WLS was very private. The first person I consulted with was my husband, the second my Heavenly Father. I needed my husbands support to proceed, but only my Heavenly Father knew what I'd been through and what was yet to come. I Hesitantly prayed at first, telling the Lord that I wasn't ready for an answer. More importantly I wanted to make sure I chose his will and not my own desires. When I was ready for an answer to my prayer I was overwhelmed by the feeling of unconditional love and support from my God. I had surgery Monday 8/15 at Loma Linda University in SoCal. I am LDS, and the hospital is 7th day Adventist. My choice to have surgery was spiritual. On surgery day I was overwhelmed with emotion. I knew I was going to have to be taken care of and not be the one taking care of my family. The Anesthesiologists sensed my anxiety and prayed over me, before they wheeled me away. The Chaplin visited me on Day 2 when we couldn't calm the Nausea. He prayed with me. My nurse showed great care for me and before her shift ended and it became obvious I wouldn't be released she came to pray with me. Oh what an experience! To be immersed in the Love of God and the love of his willing servants! I only hope that as I change my health and gain energy and ability I can be of service like the people who have so humbly loved and served me. And it's only been week 1 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

6 mo visits- should I stay on phentermine?
renewyou replied to GigiLane's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
It depends on your dosage I would think. I personally did not like the side effects so being at a lower dose helped me maintain my previous loss but wasn't aggressive enough to keep me losing. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
