5 days post op and I'm hungry!

@@KristenLe I'm usually full after about a 1/4 cup and I stop. Maybe ill just add more to the cup and reheat it after a few minutes. Isopure was recommended. So I bought a 5lb bucket of chocolate powder and a 3 lbs bucket of strawberry powder. The powder taste good with Water and 1/2 fat free milk. I was drinking that on my 10 day pre diet prior to surgery, but for the 7 day liquid diet I bought the liquid ones. I was told no powder. I found an Atkins berry one, but it only had 20g of protien vs the isopure is 40g. It does taste a little better I just have to drink 2 of them. I can barely put one down. I can't wait to pass the liquid phase!! I can do it!! I can do it!! What is a PPI? The dr did prescribe omeprazol. I take 1 tablet every 12 hours. I don't have the bad gas pains like I did with my hysterectomy. I actually feel pretty good. I had slight left shoulder and neck pain, but that passed already. I'm really thankful for your responses!! Turtle5559 -

Ice cream, pizza and Chinese?? What? Oh no, I want to lose weight. LOL.....Tomato Soup however sounds delicious. Turtle5559 -
I made homemade chicken soup for the family and I just ate the broth. I cooked it with carrots, celery, green onion, garlic, cabbage and a few pieces of chicken thighs. I added a little lite salt and pepper. Do you think this is ok for the 1st week after surgery. Or should I be buying organic fat free broth? What's your thoughts? Turtle5559

I ended up having an hiatal hernia as well. I never knew I had it. Dr. found it as he went in. I'm all good now!! I just wonder if the chest pain is from that. He said it was an upper hernia?? Turtle5559

Successful surgery yesterday in Mexicco!

I would have to say last night was my worst night. I took a shower, the nurse came in to change my dressing. When she pulled the tape off it hurt like hell. I must have taken the deepest breathe because my chest started feeling like it was caving in. As she walked out of the room I started to tear up. I had chills in my arms, my left shoulder started hurting and my neck had the sharpest pain. I was given a little white pill to sleep and that's exactly what I did. Later in the evening the doctor came in to take out my drain (ouch) that was a weird feeling. It only took 5 seconds, but was the worst 5 seconds. Woke up took a shower had a 1/2 cup of Jello and a few bites of yogurt. My dressing was changed again. Now I'm on my way home:) Feeling much better they even gave us a medical pass to pass the boarder faster. Wish me luck on a speedy recovery!! Turtle5559 -

Yes he does, but we're driving in on Thursday. Surgery is Friday and I want to leave Sunday too. I was just thinking if I needed any extra days before traveling back home. Sounds like you did just fine on the train. I have about a 3 hours drive. Turtle5559 -

Haima02 how did they found it prior to your surgery? Turtle5559

Oh no in sorry you'll have to do another surgery. This is now my fear. I had a hysterectomy about 2 years ago and I sometimes have a slight pain feeling in my lower abdominal area. I went to my doctor in June, they ordered a CT scan and an Xray there was no sign of anything. He told me it's gas and prescribed a rx generic for Nexium. I've been searching the Web and it says sometimes these hernias are not caught with a CT scan. My surgery is Friday we'll see what happens!! Turtle5559

I received an email yesterday that said if I were to have one it's a $350 charge. I'm also a cash paying patient. Going to Mexico. I could find something else to buy for $350, like a new wardrobe..lol Turtle5559
