So your saying if I make it through tomorrow I'll be OK? Ugh I feel like I'm gonna die! I gotta call the nurse tomorrow and see what to do cause I have had a migraine since Wednesday night

So I was just wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks for preventing sagging skin once we get our surgeries.... I was wondering if anyone had used/tried spanx or something like that? When I had my oldest daughter they told me that using something like that can help re-tighten the skin after pregnancy, help the muscles heal better, and aid in the stomach area going back to normal... Has anyone tried this? I think I might do it... it helped after my pregnancies so maybe paired with a collegen cream/lotion it may do the trick? Any thoughts?

OK... Dr sent me a new vid to watch talking about open bypass and he has a hiatal hernia, 2 incisional, and 1 umbilical hernia plus a mesh to remove... he had said possibly laprascopic but I think he's decided on open lol... still have 2 more weeks before I find out... Well talking to us is a start! I have 9 days until I start my liquid diet! So while you are in recovery I will be starving LOL... How has the liquid diet been? Have you gotten all your Vitamins together? I was just doing the Vitamin scramble this morning and - I never thought I'd say this- but Vitamins are stressing me out LOL! You got this! My surgery is the day after you! Sept 7th I start my liquid diet, Sept 12th I have Pre-op Class & testing, Sept 13th final appointment with my surgeon and the surgery Sept 21st! I feel bad tho because Sept 21st is my 4 year old daughter's birthday! But if I didnt take that date I was looking at a much farther out date... I am so excited and nervous- I am on medical leave until I get my surgery due to other medical issues... TIME IS DRAGGING!!! What are you doing to pass the time? My last appointment with my surgeon we had spoke about him attempting laprascopic and placing biomesh over very large hernias and removing mesh that is causing issues from previous hernia surgery but now that my surgery is scheduled he is having me watch videos pertaining to open gastric bypass and I dont have an appointment with him for 2 more weeks to find out what is going on lol

You may want to ask first before you try it- but my family and I always use Emergen-C to kick colds fast

I agree saggy skin over fat ALWAYS! But I would still like to see if anyone else has any experiences or advice... Id rather try and fail then do nothing at all

So Yay! I just got my surgery date for Sept 21st today But Boooo! After having not smoked for 2 months I smoked an entire pack yesterday... My pre-op testing is on September 12th... Does anyone know what kind of test they will do (blood, saliva, urine?) and if I will be able to pass it? If it matters I am having my surgery at University Hospital in NE Ohio...

Thanks everyone for all the advice and info. I do know the risk of smoking which is why I quit 2 months ago- but I had some family circumstances that made me stress quite a bit and I broke and smoked a pack of ciggs. Havent smoked since. Just really hoping I will be able to pass, I am just hoping and praying that one set back won't undo the 9 months of work I have put in... So thanks everyone!
