Air in the Stomach from C-Pap

I want to thank everyone for their responses - *much* appreciated! I have an appointment to see my sleep doctor this Friday - I'm very lucky in that they are *very* responsive. Yes, I have lost close to thirty pounds and probably do need adjustments. I can't control the air pressure (which is set at 20, the highest you can go, so, yes, I do have the full face mask, but I also have a chin strap that I adjust tightly to keep my mouth from opening). As per the advice offered on the site suggested by kelliev2015, I'm sleeping on a couple of extra pillows & have adjusted upward the C-Flex option on my machine by one number, both of which resulted in my having *much* less air this morning. Tonight I'm putting the C-Flex option up to it's highest setting and will see how that does. Crossing my fingers in hope that this takes care of the matter! Thank you all for your help, support and suggestions! -

I'm three weeks out for my sleeve, and lately I've been waking up with a *lot* of air in my belly from my C-Pap. I've made sure my chin-strap's on very tight and that I have no masks leaks, but I still have the problem and am now worried about what this will do to my stomach after the surgery. I have an appointment this up- coming week with my sleep doctor, but wanted to find out if anyone else had run into this problem and what their experiences have been. Thanks!

Valentina - thank you for your responses. I am so sorry to hear about what you had to go through emotionally to get to where you are today. I can't even begin to imagine. Hang in there and keep fighting the good fight, and thank you again for sharing with us. - Lyle Tucker -

Thanks for chiming in, Valentina! I appreciate it. Congratulations on your weight loss and for maintaining it! Might I ask you how hard it's been to stay on the straight and narrow for five years? At five years in, do you feel you've pretty much conquered your food cravings and old eating habits, or is it akin to alcoholism, where you pretty much have to literally take it one day at a time for the rest of your life? Also, might I ask how much skin you had removed and if your insurance paid for it? I understand the skin surgery is *far* more uncomfortable than the sleeve surgery, so my sympathy is with you, and I hope you recover soon, and that you might continue to report in on how that is doing, as I believe my wife will be looking into that after a year or so (as per the requirements of her insurance) ((we're going to go through the sleeve process together - we're at the stage where the surgeon has received our documentation and we hope to have our info sent to the insurance company for evaluation soon). Again, thank you *so* much for answering - it means a lot to talk with someone who's been dealing with the effects of this drastic procedure in the long term! -Lyle Tucker -

Would like to hear from any long-term sleevers out there. How are you still feeling about your procedure, and the progress/regressions you might have had? Thanks in advance!
