I ate eggs 3 weeks out and threw up. I was going to try again, but now just looking at them makes me sick. I used to love eggs Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

What am I about to do to myself?
Tiffgetnthin replied to TheRev's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I felt the same and at 372 and 42 years old I thought I was crazy for not being able to do it on my own. I promise you that having it done is worth it. I feel free of food for the first time in my life! And losing the weight is easier than it was before. It's scary and a big decision, but it is worth it to be healthy and to hopefully live another 40. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App -

What kind of sick? And did you take meds? You could be Retaining Fluid due to dehydration...and some meds will make it worse. Make sure you get fluids into yourself and stay on track with your diet. I am sure it will come back off Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Pictures are not helping

Thank you, I have not been using tight clothing now that you mention it Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App -
I am almost 8 weeks out from surgery, my HW was 372, SW 356, CW 320. I have a Pre op pic and a 7 week pic that I took to journal my journey. I can look in the mirror and see that I am slimming down...and my clothes are loose, but the pictures I have taken look no different to me. Is this normal? Is there a trick about what to wear in the pics? Will this change for me at some point? I just want to have that moment when I don't want to delete the photo after I take it Thank you in advance for your insight and advice Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Going back to work
Tiffgetnthin replied to alinakravchuk's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went back, but my boss was the only one that knew I had surgery...she supported me fully. The only problem I had was having light headed moments, especially if I bent over. That lasted a few weeks, but now is gone. You will do great! Just don't push it Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App -

Who did you tell?
Tiffgetnthin replied to KaiserKid's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I told all the people closest to me so I would have the support I needed. I didn't want to tell everyone because I was worried about what they would say. ..and felt that I might agree with them to some extent. The decision to have surgery, for me, meant that I was admitting that I was not strong enough to do it on my own. Now that I am 7 weeks out and down from HW: 372 to CW: 318, I feel like shouting it from the rooftops that I had surgery and it took away all of the things that got in my way before. ..like the constant hunger and thoughts of eating. I feel free from food for the first time in my life! Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App -
When does hair loss begin?
Tiffgetnthin replied to LoveAlwaysKia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
They say it's all about getting enough Iron and Protein. .. I keep up on that, take Biotin for good measures. And use biotin shampoo once a week. I am almost 2 months out and so far no hair loss Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App -
So I did a really dumb thing and I am paying for it now HELP ME
Tiffgetnthin replied to myree's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Make sure you drink a lot to replenish what you lost, and consult your doctor. I just worry about you losing electrolytes. Keep up on your Vitamins and try some power aide type drink to help make rehydrate Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App -
Eating or Drinking Your Nutrients?
Tiffgetnthin replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Food and Nutrition
I am 7 weeks out and am still relying on shakes. I eat here and there...but find that solid foods still make me feel funny. I had the sleeve, my surgeon said it can take time to adjust to foods. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App -
Another week of crazy emotions on my journey to the Sleeve
Tiffgetnthin replied to jenrae1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was wishy washy too, and all about food! How crazy huh? I mean food got me here and I want to change! I talked to my surgeon about it and he made me feel better. He told me this surgery isn't about never having pizza again, or sushi, it was about helping to change habits and my health. He explained that I can have pizza, but 1 slice instead of a whole large. ... it clicked! I realized that healthy was better than overeating. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App -

I was lucky, I had a coworker join the gym with me and I for a trainer 1 day a week. Having to meet someone there makes the difference for me. I started slow on the treadmill and lifting a little weight. Now I can walk faster on the treadmill and have already gained strength! I know it is very hard to convince yourself to go, but I promise you it will feel great! I am 4 weeks into the gym and already find myself going by myself if I need to small steps to a lifetime of change! Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App
