Crzytchr, oh there is not a link for the Easter Challenge. I just made it a personal challenge.....I think it would be great if the July Butterflies do it together. I really want to lose 50lbs by my bandiversary so I have set the bar high this time. I lost 9 out of 10 on the Valentine Challenge......so if I try for 15lb by Easter I will be on my way to my goal for July or close to it. Be careful on the ibuprofen. My doctor told me it would be okay to take it, but not on a regular basis. It has something to do with the band. So, if they give you an anti-inflamatory ask your band doctor if it is okay.

I did not know about the April Fool's challenge. I just started today on an Easter Challenge......real good start.....I went to a b-day party and ate cake. Crzytchr, I am so glad you were not seriously injured. Be sure you get checked out by your dr. You will really be sore tomorrow. I hope you are better soon.

Kimaly,.....good deal....we can do this!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO ALL! I was a lb shy of losing 10lbs on the Valentine Challenge. So, I am moving on to an Easter Challenge. I hope all of you have a GREAT DAY!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, JULY BUTTERFLIES! Well, I tried to lose 10lbs by Valentine's Day, but came up short by one. It was the enchilada I ate last night. I ate a child's plate, but mexican food is not good for weight loss. Oh well, I hope you all have a great day. I am going to start a new challenge .....Easter! April 12th......gonna go for 15lbs.

Katy, I am so sorry to hear the results. I hope you don't have to wait till the 27th. I can relate to you being a caregiver of sick parents. It is tough. You will be in my prayers. Take care of yourself! -
AWESOME, LONG! I bet you reach Onederland by Valentine's Day. As for me,I got a small fill today. I think it was .2. So, I have 5.1cc's in my band now.

Hey, just checking in.....notice.....my ticker moved. I am back journaling, walking, and drinking 80oz of water a day. I can't do much more than walk because my back is "jacked up". I really don't want to get a cortisone shot in it as it will mess up my weight loss journey. I go tomorrow for a fill....maybe I just need like a .2cc. Small amounts work better for me. I am hoping(oops.....WILL) to lose 1lb before Valentine's Day then I will start on a new challenge.:thumbup:

Long,Me Too! I haven't been sick since being banded in July. I have not been good at taking vitamins and I need to. My back is better too. I can hardly wait to get to where you are.....COME ON ONEDERLAND! I think you will be there this week.:thumbup:

Awesome! I know how you feel. I have been battling up and down three lbs for the last week. I am determined to lose it this week. -
Awesome weight loss! Yes, it makes a huge difference when you journal. I haven't journaled today, and I am eating like crazy.....not bad stuff....just too much.
-
Janet,....just checking in. For some reason I could not get on LBT yesterday. Anyway, My body won't give up the last 3lb so I can meet my Valentine's challenge. UP one.....down two....up three. I go next week for a fill, but I don't know if I need it. I have some restriction. I think my main problem is head hunger.

WHOOHOO! CONGRATS! Stay in touch with us. You will still need support......and we need it too.
-
Donna, I am so glad you are okay and the problem could be fixed. I know when I lift groceries or my grandbaby I get tight. I do get tight under stress too. I am going next week to the doctor for a fill, but I really think I don't need it. I haven't canceled because things could change in a week. Take care! Shrinknme, I got you on my prayer list. I hope it all turns out good for you.

Katy, you will be in my prayers daily. Please keep us informed on your health. We care about you! -
Yeah, I know, but they didn' have a 60 in stock. I will work for a 75 then a 100.
-
Awesome reward! I know you will have a great trip. I bought my fifty lb loss reward today. I got a James Avery charm bracelet and bought a 50 charm. I just want to have benchmarks of my journey. I am working on another 50 now.
-
YUK! I didn't know that.....thanks for the info, Orea.
-
Donna, are you eating late at night? Try chewing a pepcid tonight before bedtime and stay away from fatty food especially at night. I had reflux for years prior to the band. It started when I had my gallbladder removed.

Welcome Marty! Janet is our guru that started this thread. She is a wealth of information. Just jump in and ask. Hopefully you will find the help and support here. I know I did.:thumbup::thumbup:

JANET.YOU ARE TOO FUNNY. Yeah, not a bad price. We can hide the other stuff, but this mug is the first thing i see in the morning and sets the tone for the rest of the day. That's what I'm talking about!

Long and Janet, I feel I am in good company. When I read about your experiences then I feel better. I am so glad I have all of you for support. I think I would be scared if I was having issues and couldn't share. I would think the band was slipping or something bad like that. My DH started on his pre op weight management. He quit drinking diet coke and now he chews his food slower than me. Oh, on another subject, have you ever checked into a LIFESTYLE LIFT? It is a less invasive facelift. My friend of thirty yrs had bypass when I had the band and she has lost 100lbs. She went for a consult today and they are doing her face and lids for six thousand. Fifty more lbs and I am going to check into it. You girls are younger, and I am going to be 58 next month, but the ole face is hanging like I am 70. Another fifty lbs and I will have to put my stomach and chin in a wheelbarrow. Won't be a pretty site!:thumbup::thumbup::eek::tongue:

Janet,.....just venting. I went to Chili's this evening and ate fish. Half way into the fish I took a bite to big....swallowed...and got stuck. You would think my a#% would learn. I cannot get unstuck unless I literally throw it up. Does it ever go the other way when you get stuck? I have been tight all day long. I did lift some boxes today. It seems like when I lift groceries or anything over ten lbs I get tight. Has that happened to you? Okay, I am done venting. I don't know if my DH will ever take me out to eat again.

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Girl, I know what you mean. I need to lose 9 a month to lose a 100 by my bandiversary date(which we share).Yep, I have to step up the exercise and cut the carbs. The personal trainer said to eat Protein, veggies, and whole wheat products.....keep sugars down to 40g a day. The hardest thing for me to do is keep sodium under 1500mg a day. OH, and she said no carbs in the evening. I just have to follow her advice.
