I have had 9 fills and 2 unfills. I am scheduled for a fill next week. I am so sorry you have had so many problems. The band is only a tool that helps. You have to change eating habits for success. You might benefit from going to weight watchers or get a nutritionist to help with your eating. I too, have not mastered good eating habits. I eat less, but i still eat slider foods.

Long, DH goes to the blood specialist next thursday. Then after a diagnosis he should be able to get another surgery date. I think it will be late July or August. Dr. Davis is booked, but he said he would give him priority.

Awesome weight loss! It is going to be alot to celebrate in July! I don't think DH will get a surgery date till August. His appt with the blood dr is next week. Then the tests....then the diagnosis. So, I am thinking late summer. He lost 14lbs the last two weeks on the liquid diet. Now, he has to do it again. Oh well, it all has to come off. He needs to lose a hundred lbs. Less than two weeks till July...........hard to believe it has been a year. I am not counting my year long weight loss till the end of July even though my date is the 16th.

Checking in..........DH's surgery was canceled. He had some high levels concerning his blood clotting. This should have been caught before he was prepped for surgery. The Doctor was upset. Anyway, he has to go to a blood specialist and find out the cause of his blood levels being high. Dr. Davis said once he gets the report he can give him some medicine to control the problem he can have surgery. I hope this thread keeps going.

Oh, yes, the doctor called his office and questioned why he had not received the results before today. He told them he wanted to know if it was his office or the hospital.He has moved to a different hospital. Somebody's head is going to roll. Now, we are probably going to get stuck with a hospital bill.....at least they will try to stick it to us. DH's mother had several blood disorders, and one was clotting. The doctor said that is hereditary. I feel sure we will get some answers from the blood doctor, and he will get the surgery . So, now we are going out to eat chicken fajitas. I have a cold and not much of an appetite, but DH is starving. I will keep y'all updated.

Well, we are back home......no surgery. DH got all set up to go in and then Dr. Davis noticed an abnormality in his blood. He did more blood work and his levels were such that he was at risk for bleeding. So, now, he is going to a blood doctor and get to the source of the problem. Dr. Davis said in many cases he can give a medicine that will normalize the blood problem. So, we headed out to eat. After being on a shake diet for two weeks he could not eat much. Welcome to our world! Thanks for the prayers and encouraging words. We will do this again.........hopefully this summer.

livn..........we are leaving now.He should have surgery early this afternoon. I will check in when we get home on thurs night or friday.

Well, we are packed and ready for DH's gastric bypass tomorrow. Please keep us in your prayers. I think his surgery is in the early afternoon so it will be a long day. I will check in when we get home.

I will keep you posted. I feel sure he will be home late thursday or early friday. He isn't scheduled to have surgery until noon wednesday. Thank you for your prayers. He is mentally up for this surgery and after watching me eat, he knows the routine. Funny, I bought a set of shrimp forks and baby spoons for us to eat with. I even bought two insulated baby feeding bowls. Like I said before, we spent 40 years getting fat together, now we can get skinny together. I will be in touch.

I just want to reach onederland by the end of the year. I better get busy. My DH is doing great on his liquid pre-op diet. He is having gastric bypass on wednesday. So, If y'all don't hear from me in a few I will be at the hospital. I will check in!

Oh my...........stay on liquid diet till you can get help. If it is gallbladder a liquid diet without fat in it will help a lot. I hope you get relief soon. That is miserable. Please let us know what is going on.

Orea, I am so glad you have some restriction. I need it! If I don't journal........I overeat. I even ate 4 cookies today. I don't ever do that. So, it's back to journaling. I am keeping up with my walking.

The July Butterflies tried the chat room, but our schedules got in the way of meeting up. I went in a month ago and got an unfill because I was pbing everyday. It might help .......it helped me. It takes time for the tissue to go down after you pb alot. Now, I am ready for a fill, and can't get in till the 29th.

Hi Butterflies! The PA at DR Davis office quit yesterday so my appt on the 11th was canceled. I can't get in till the 29th. I told his office it would be there fault if I gained weight cuz I am hungry. So far, so good. Three weeks till July. Come on Butterflies........lets keep this thread going till our bandiversary.

Try the pouch test. Google the "five day pouch test". It will help jump start your weight loss.

Joann, Amen. I don't like that high school crap at my age. You see, it is more than about weight. As the layers of fat are peeled away our true selves are revealed. My friend is almost a recluse. We used to shop and lunch together several times a week. Now, she seldom goes anywhere with me, and when she does she constantly comments on obese people we see in the store. Her negativetiy his almost too much. I think she is depressed. In fact I think she has always been depressed, but she hid behind the weight. (she was a jolly person). So, you know the email about friendship.....reason, season, or lifetime.......well, losing weight was the reason for our friendship.....the season has passed.
